      Dude you're kidding me...

Cotto has beaten 3 former Welterweight champs (Quinatana, Judah, Mosley). The funny thing about your thread though is you're saying you're not hating on Cotto, but then immediately you jump into ****ting on the dudes he fought.

You simply are hating on Cotto. If he were to fight anyone else besides the guys listed above there would be a similar threads like "Why didn't he fight Mosley? Why didn't he fight Judah?" Who do (or did) you want him to fight?

No matter who he fights his haters will continue to make excuses, but the bottom line is he has a better resume at WW than Floyd and even before Floyd retired was considered the #1 active WW, that's just the reality of it.

Miguel Cotto has had a better record than Mayweather at 140 and at 147.
But for this threads sake I'll just stick to 147.

          Miguel Cotto Rec:
          Quintana
          Urkal
          Judah
          Mosley
          Gomez

          Mayweather's Rec:
          Mitchell
          Judah
          Baldomir
          Hatton

I don't see how Mayweather has the better record than Cotto at 147. Mosley alone is better than any fighter Mayweather has faced at 147 and Cotto has fought more legitimate WW's. And if you do wanna include Oscar in the equation you have to take into account the minor detail of Cotto beating the guy (Mosley) who beat Oscar twice at 2 different weight classes.

ok mayweather beat judah - former champ at 140 and undisputed unified champ at 147
mitchell - former champ at 140
baldomir - former undisputed champ at 147
hatton - former champ at 140 and 147
de la hoya - former champ in 6 different weight classes

i didnt completely **** on the opposition he fought and all i said was the truth.. u cotto ****riders get your panties in a bunch whenever someone doesnt agree with u or say "cotto is the best"

He's making guaranteed $6 million plus a percentage of PPV sales. He took the Margarito fight for less money than was offered to Floyd and Shane Mosley which was $8 million guaranteed.

I want to see someone argue this without their opinions involved.

Facts and facts only. Can it be done?

                  Lets watch.

none of those opponents can beat shane and besides delahoya i doubt any of them can beat quintanna
didn't mitchell suffer from knee injurys?
what has baldomir done since his fight with floyd?
hatton is a bum, lazcano caught him with a left hook and almost made him run into the ring post again
