Antonio Margarito: "Miguel Cotto Will Be an Easy Fight"

Margarito has a relatively Easy Win

I am not a ******** man but I see Margarito walking through Cotto and stopping this fight before round 8. I do like what I have seen from Cotto, but a wins against Quintana, an OLD Mosely, a pathetic Judah (may I remind you got his ass kicked against Baldomir), a glass jawed Torres, Gomez, etc don't do it for me. Perhaps that isn't his fault but I don't think his chin can stand the onslaught from Margarito. Maybe Cotto's shaky chin was a result of cutting weight.... but I am not sold on that argument. Mosely and Judah both rocked Cotto and don't have big power at 147.

This is the fight the world of Boxing got their eyes on. 2-3 years ago, IMO, Cotto had no chance agaisnt Tony. I don't know if it is my imagination or is it a FCAT? But Cotto was become a better boxer in the last 2 years, while Margarito has stayed the same, or even worse. Tony lost to The Punisher, and beated Golden Johnson (a ****ing joke) and Kermit Cintron (who is mentally impared to fight Tony). Cotto in the other hand had convincing wins agaisnt Urkal, Quintana (who beated PW), Zab Judah (an underachiever who is a better boxer than most of Tony's opponents), and Shane Mosley, who no matter the age is arguably the 3rd best Welter on the Divison.

I believe Margarito only chance is a puncher's KO shot. Otherwise, Cotto is going to do an "IronBoy schools Cazeres" type of match, but with more exchanges and couterpunching. I predict Margarito is going to stablish a new personal record on the "not landing" punches CAT no matter how many he may throw per roound. Cotto doesn't have to get "in" in order to connect one of his vicious left hooks to the body. Margarito is going to expose his right ribscage and flank continiously. Margarito will need to keep his elbows low more often than ever.


I can't tell how long the fight will last, but I can tell you is going to last as long as Tony can assimilate body damage and hold the pain. I believe that been the True Mexican Warrior that he is, Tony will endure and go for 12 rounds. Cotto by UD. (will love to see him going down for the 10 count, but got to admit Tony is a one tough son of a *****)

I forgot to mention that Cotto should be doing a lot of southpaw vs. ortho stance. Margarito has most of his losses agaisnt southpawed boxers; Jones, Daniel Santos and Paul Williams. Every little advantage that can be exploited for this fight might be significant enough for the final outcome. Tony will never become a better boxer; he is too good as a brawler. Cotto changes stance positioning as he sees fit to overcome his opponent's strengths. Telling you man, Cotto by UD.

This fight is not goin the distance....Margarito will definitely get touched, but his chin is stronger than Coto's. It will definitely be interesting to see who hurts who first.
