Cotto will have his hands full against Margarito but will come out the victor due to his amazing body work he is going to demonstrate. He will have a bigger target to hit. Just like alot of other fighters on the other end of Cotto's relentless punches, Margaritos drive will becomes less and less as the rounds go bye. Cotto is a complete fighter. He might be on the shorter side but he is dence, powerfull and relentless. He has proven he knows how to digg himself out of the trenches when hurt. That is something you you can't teach. That is something your born with. Cotto will be the one having his arm raised that night. Puerto Rico will again have a victory over Mexico.

cotto will even it out w/ his speed. really, i was surprised at how he was able to match mosley's speed. yeah we all know that wasnt' mosley's prime, but still it looked effin fast.

if he tries to dig in body work he's playing in margs hands imo. he's gonna eat some uppercuts. antonio is mexican. last time i heard mexicans know a thing or two about bodywork......marg can handle it.

for cotto to win he needs to keep the fight in the middle of the ring and popshot marg and go in and out. if he stays inside to do his bodywork it's playing into margs style.

I agree. Margarito is too slow to use that feature that would normally be a big advantage. The dude only has a chance to win this fight, that is shocking Cotto. He needs to surprise Cotto from the bell, fast. He needs to be lucky too. I don't see Cotto losing this one. It will be an UD for Cotto.

Margarito is as one dimensional as a fighter gets. If things don't go well for him he does not have the ability to adapt and change things up.

sometimes one dimensional is not a bad thing.

there have been some great fighters that were "one dimensional".

if something works for you why change it? why do you need to fight a different way when you do the other thing so well?

sometimes guys that try do everything are the ones that can't do one thing well......

the question is we know what marg is gonna do......can cotto stop him from doing it? if he can't...... one dimensional or not , marg will win.

Pretty much. You seen the Shane Mosley fight? I think this will resemble that fight. Cotto will win the exchanges due to his superior speed and will mount on points. Margarito will charge forwards but will fail. UD Cotto. I hope i'm wrong though i wanna see more action than this.

If Margarito used his jab more then the height and reach advantages would pay dividends. As is, his height and reach advantages will hurt him on the inside. Viva, stop trying so hard.

The problem with one dimensional fighters is that they can't change mid-fight. Chavez was great but it meant nothing against Whitaker. Trinidad was great but it meant nothing against Bhop.
