Its all about who's dictating. Ofcourse there are plenty of times when Cotto chooses to use his boxing skills and starts counter punching and circling. Then there are other times when a guy is just basically forcing you back. Thats when your on your bike. Most people just have a picture of a guy flat out running. That hardly ever happeneds in boxing. On your bike is just when your being forced to move and your clearly uncomfortable with it because the guy is applying mad pressure and is walking through your shots well.

In the Gomez fight Cotto boxes perfect when he wanted to. He countered and stopped Gomez in his tracks every time but against N'Dou & Mosley, they kept coming and they were coming faster every time. Cotto was clearly unccomfortable with it and they were forcing him to do things he didnt want to do. Margarito thinks he can do this with his size, strength, and chin which is far better then anything Cotto has ever faced. He still hasnt faced a big man before. He's usually the much bigger & stronger fighter. Dont get me wrong, Cotto may still kill him but Im just saying that he has got on his bike and tires out at times and Margarito can certainly take advantage of that and force Cotto back even when he doesnt want to go back

as much as i want to see a war, i just get the feeling that Cotto is going to stop Margarito with a power body shot or head shot around about 3-4 rounds in....i hope i'm wrong, but with Cotto, the kid just doesn't know how to lose.

Seriously, is Margarito's chin really that good? Can Margarito take the body shots? I feel that Margarito is too slow and Cotto will capitalize on that.

If so then is Margarito strong enough to do it? I still think the 2 pure toughest Cotto fights were against Mosley & N'Dou and both of those guys had Cotto on the move late in the fight and I personally thought he looked uncomfortable. People try to play it like he's boxing but I think he was moreso running and not in great position to counter punch. I also question his stamina against very strong guys who can apply pressure. Can he fight a full 12 rounds on Margarito without resorting to his bike late in the fight?
I don't think margarito has watched any of cotto's fights... cotto can counterpunch, box, and even run when he needs to.

He did well going backwards against Shane because Moes doesn't have a jab.

Shane likes it when you take it to him...He can't do anything moving foreward.

Some people here don't know the difference between getting on your bike and boxing of your backfoot effeciently. Getting on your bike is what DHL did against Tito, what Cotto did late in Mosley fight is called boxing.

Margarito can't cut the ring off like he'd need to. Cotto has great footwork and lateral movement. Tony is going to have to push Cotto into the corner and pound away if he wants to do serious damage otherwise Cotto will circle around him all night.

Cotto moved and hit Mosley with combinations, Mayweather lays on the ropes and potshots you. Cotto moved and chose when to engage, he was very effective and anyone with a clear head can see that.
