Actually, the boxing community does. I don't see how sales of a fight is a determining factor in telling how great the fight was. Boxing fans, only care about what happens in the ring. Stans such as yourself, think that another mans bank account is an accurate measure of his greatness. Are you going to tell me that 50 Cent is a better MC than Rakim too? Why do you even watch boxing? For great fights or to see how big the PPV numbers are?

Yeah for sure!!! Hopkins is a nice man... if some1 believes his own ****, it is Bernard Hopkins. If you have some knowledge of human beings... you would knew... that Floyd outside of the ring is one of the nicest ppl ever. Of course he acts childish at times and wants to be a thug, what he ain't but that's his own growing process. This man never had a childhood... this man is mentally not 30 years old. So of course he acts in a way at times that is inacceptable. Hopkins after his own comments is an grown man... and he's a disgrace. I had a lot of respect for him, because of his knowledge when it comes to boxing. As a human being he's a piece of ****. As he faked the low blow because he couldn't take the ''slapping'' anymore... and after the match not even has the GUTS to behave like a man and admit to it, and is acting like a ***** ''I schooled him'' I lost every respect for him that I had. And if you ask Hopkins who's the best fighter, he would tell you that he's the best and if your laugh at him... he would give a 3 hour preacher speech about why he is... and believe me, he believes!!!

Look at ppl like Morales simple done before they were 30. Boxing is a brutal sport and what these guys bring in every training camp is probably the same what your guys are doing in sport in about 3 years. And they do it every 3 months. And ppl who call boxers heartless, gutless... have simply no idea what they talking about. But that a boxer gets beat up to bloody pulp every fight, against mediocre opposition, falls to the level of the opposition, has not the skills to keep the opponent on bay... also not shows how great a boxer is!!!

Margarito, Cotto, Williams, Cintron, Mosley, Berto...these guys have/are/will fight each other, even if it means taking a loss once and a while. Why? Because they are true champions. They will fight the best around them, no matter what, and rematch a loss because they've got guts, and heart. Mayweather displayed no aspects of a champion, no signs of heart, and definitely no guts by running away from the biggest names in his class.

@DIOS DOMINICANO: The pay-per-view sales don't determine a boxer's greatness at all. That has nothing to do with it whatsoever. Any fan of boxing would know that. The only thing it proves is how dumb the general public is for buying into Mayweather's "promise-without-return" business style.

Don't get me wrong, Mayweather is extremely skilled and talented, but he needed to prove he had that one extra trait of a champion: guts, desire, heart, the will to take on all challengers. Instead, he wanted money, and his fear had less to do with greatness, and more to do with suffering an X-1 record.

Making money means he understood how promotion works, not boxing.

I wish ignorant dogs like Left hook Tua, Dios dominicano and Sin can see this common sense wisdom.
