Hatton wants to have two more fights before retirement with the Pacquiao/De La Hoya bout being the last of his career. [details]

Look, I don't dislike him, he has made for some good action fights, but lets be serious about where this guy stands among the elite. He isn't even the top 140 pounder imo. He has to get by Malignaggi and face Torres, Holt, Bradley, Witter, Demetrius Hopkins, Steve Forbes, Ngoudjo, Gavin Rees etc. Beating a way-over-the-hill Castillo (who would have annhilated Hatton pre-Corrales btw) does little to establish supremacy in a division where he hasn't fought 9/10 top ten fighters.
Mayweather is worlds above him in skill. Your scoring alone for the fight proves how biased you are and the fact that u use it as your sig shows how emotional you get over your boy Hatton, which is ok. I love certain fighters too, but I'm not gonna waste any more time defending my views on Ricky with you. And don't say its cause I'm an American either that I feel this way. I like David Haye, Calzaghe , Gavin Rees, Prince Naseem, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, etc. I like Ricky too, but these are just the facts. Deal...Last edited by mspiegelo; 07-05-2008, 09:51 AM.

floyd is on another level to hatton in terms of skills. hatton is my favourite fighter and i dont like mayweather but i still admit he is a huge talent. before this fight hatton was loved and respected and because he lost to floyd he seems to be shot. he beat lazcano easily which he deserves credit for afta his first loss.
as for the mayweather fight i do believe cortez influenced the fight. simply because hatton was never going to outbox floyd which is what happened. the only way he and everyone knew he stood a chance is if he made the fight ugly similar to the tzsyu match. if he stopped floyd from running around like he does then floyd would have to brawl which isnt his style. hatton wanted the match to be ugly but cortez stopped that from happening. he didnt even let any holding whatsoever. however hatton cannot make excuses because he had to box but if he was allowed to use his rough house tactics he would have stood a better chance against floyd at the very least

There was a reason Mayweather starting bitching about referees 3/4 months before the fight, well his plan worked and Cortez was in his pocket and Mayweather cheated his way through the fight
