Cotto also hasn't lost to relatively unknown fighters, I mean the names on Margs lose resume besides Paul Williams could be a game of WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Like I said in my previous post not trying to stick up for either of em b/c I like em both but if either one has more question marks it's Margarito, you say Marg ko's Gomez in 1 but Cotto (even early in his career) doesn't lose to Victor Lozoya, Larry Dixon, Rodney Jones or even more recently (2004) Daniel Santos!!!!
Margarito was winning the fight against Santos but was stopped due to cuts.
The other losses you mentioned were when Margarito was a young kid. Under 18 I'm not trying to make excuses for his losses but Facts are Facts.

FACT: Margarito's 23rd professional fight was against a 0-10-1 fighter that till this day has never won a fight (currently 0-16-1).

FACT: Cotto's 23rd professional fight was against Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley.

Shouldn't have turned pro at 18 then it sounds like. Cotto doesn't lose to those fighters early in his career, and I like Margarito, I thought the P Will fight was a draw and even if he lost I gave him props for being the first TOP TIER WW to give P Will a chance. But at the same time everyone on this board knows Cotto could have KO'D Gomez earlier on in that fight, he played with him round after round after round!!!!

Yeah oh boy. Margarito lost to Rodney Jones when he was 18 years old.
Is that one of the losses you are referring to? Maybe you have no idea of who Rodney Jones is against an 18 year old kid,
Are you a box rec statisician or something because it sure smells that way from here?

Hell Christian Mijares lost to a guy who never beat anyone else.

So if you're gonna look at welterweight resumes, also consider title defenses .

Against a credible fighter, who he later knocked out.

Previously, Chop Chop had never even been knocked down.

If I'm not mistaken Margarito turned pro at 15 years of age. any young boy fighting grown men is sooner or later gonna lose. Are you telling me Cotto was undefeated in his entire amateur career? Get the hell out of here with that ****.

Why was Margarito at his 23rd fight picking on a guy that hadnt ever won a fight?? What a coward!

Fact:Styles make fights but since you guys say Marg ko's Gomez in the 1st round, I can look at it like this (although I don't like to), Cotto beat Quintana EASILY, Quintana beat Williams and Williams beat Margarito?
