WBA champ Valero wants Manny next

WORLD Boxing Association (WBA) super-featherweight champion Edwin Valero of Venezuela wants Manny Pacquiao to fight him so the Filipino ring icon can see what he’s made of.

Valero, who successfully defended his title after a first round TKO at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo last Wednesday against Mexican Michael Lozada, is calling on Pacquiao and his acknowledged promoter Bob Arum for a fight, with his belt at stake.

    Sun.Star Network Online's 12th Asean Summit watch

The undefeated Valero, who holds a ring record of 21-0, with 20 knockouts, of which 19 were within the first round, called Pacquiao a cab driver, shortly after the fight with Lozada that lasted only for 72 seconds.

    Joke only

The Filipino ring sensation jokingly called Valero a tricycle driver in one of his press conferences, after he scored his second win over Eric Morales last Nov. 19.

Valero blasted Pacquiao for the comments several months ago.

"I want Manny (Pacquiao) next. I hope (Bob) Arum is listening. I don't want to hear (from) Manny a lot of excuses to fight me this time. If our fight will happen, he will realize that he too is a cab driver," said Valero as quoted by krikya360.com
Arum, who had already proposed to fight Pacquiao against the Venezuelan champion, had included Valero among the nine-fighters presented to the General Santos City native ring idol for him to fight after a botched Pacquiao-Barrera rematch.

However, despite Valero’s appealing credentials, he is not considered among the big names in his division, after he was banned to fight in the US for failing a medical check up in New York.

You Pac lovers are funny.Aside from the first Barrara pac has`nt really done anything in my opinion. He beat Morales who was badly faded,he did`nt beat Marquez who is also past prime clearly.I had Marquez winning both fights.

Diaz ia bum and the easist beltholder at 135.Why is `nt pac not critisized for not going for the more tougher fights like Nate Campbell or Cassamayor?

If floyd would have fought Diaz instead those otheer guys you would have never heard the end of it.

How about unfinished business at 130 with Guzman and Zaheer?

Hypocrite bastards,Ya`ll just a bunch of Mayeather haters riding on Pac nuts cause Ya`ll think ya`ll could use Pac to make Mayweather look bad.

Ya`ll say Mayweather reluctance to fight the best. How about his wins over top 130 pounders:Genero Hernandez,Corralles,Jesus Chavez.

How about Floyd calling Shane out For years ever since Floyd was a jnr Llightweight and Shane was a Lightweight at the time and Shane still avoided him?

How About Floyd jumping to 135 and taking the best Lightweight in Jose Castillo?

How about Floyd Calling Hatton out ever since Floyd was a lightweight and Hatton Avoided him?

How about Floyd wanting to fight Tzsu but Tzsu was busy with mandatories and got stripped numerous times because of injury?

How about Floyd Calling Oscar out ever since Oscar was in his prime?

Ya`ll a bunch of haters thats why ya`ll keep making threads about him trying to diminish all he accomplished so ya`ll could try to convince ya`ll selves that he was`nt great.

Floyd's childlike rant against HBO today and putting down other fighters, is an example of his weak character. Pacquiao, in contrast, is always a good sport.

Floyd will be remenbered as a boxer who never challenged himself, who never gave his best and avoided all risk.

Pac will be remenbered for taking on all challenges and always giving his best.

This is an easy one...the winner is Manny without a doubt. There is no doubt PBF is a better skilled fighter than Manny, however Pacquiao has been in alot more wars than PBF and doesn't have the perception "ducking" anyone. Manny is a warrior and has definantly earned his stripes. Ten years from now we will be wondering "what if" PBF fought Cotto or Margarito, could he have beaten them. On the other hand, Manny most likley will fight all the top contenders leaving no doubt in our minds about his "lion heart" legacy.

How can anybody like a fighter who retired because he didn't want to fight a past prime, hand-picked opponent like De La Hoya, who everyone else wanted to fight?

After Floyd saw Oscar vs. Forbes, he chickened out.

how someone that constantly posts about floyd telling someone else he has a infatuation is beyond me

                      Pacquiao dominated De La Hoya.

Mayweather received a gift decision in a close fight with De La Hoya.

                      Pacquiao would kink Floyd's ass!
