I dont even think he did that of a great job with Wlad either, He did improve Wlad defensivewise though.

Wlad just can't, and will never be able to fight on the inside because he relies on his jab so much. Purrity beat him because wlad basically got tired of hitting him. Sanders walked through the jab, used his fast hands, and once he got inside, it was a wrap. Brewster kept the pressure on Wlad, and Wlad folded. This is something he learned, and has not been able to over come since he started boxing. Manny has him using the stick, and basically grabbing his opponent when he gets close. Davaryll wiliamson even gave wlad a tough fight flooring him. When wlad fights a pressure fighter who can get inside and rough his body up, we will see how much manny truly taught him.

Also, Steward needs to teach fighters when they are hurt how to tie up. They have no ****ing idea what to do.

1) Taylor loses to Pavlik, because of bad advice from Steward.

2) Cintron gets destroyed the same exact way in his rematch against Margarito, as if steward didn't do nothing to help Cintron.

3) Andy Lee, what the crap was that? Andy Lee looked like ass, and I blame Steward


The only person Steward has done really good with lately is Wlad Klitschko, its like he doesn't really give a **** about the other fighters. That Cintron rematch with Margarito was ridiculous. Cintron fought exactly the same way as he did in the first fight, so dumb.

It's hard to keep your #s high when you have as big a stable as Stewart has. He's also workin for HBO and gets his hands on a lot of these bigger name guys after they are heavily set in their ways. His record as of late stinks but it's not so easy when you spread yourself so thin.

And Hearns is a 6 division champ. Pretty sure he was sucessful.

I think Stewards is a little over rated, in the Cintron fight he waited to WAY to late to tell Cintron he has to stay back and box... By that time Cintron was to beaten mental and battered to move any where. It may have been the third or fourth Cinton DID stay back and use his reach and Marg. wasn't hitting him... Maybe for all of 30 sec.'s! But Taylor losing to Pavlik is a tough one, Taylor ALMOST had it. Also Pavlik showed he's a true champion and fighter. Andy Lee I think is very talented but in front of a loud Irish crowd had his man down early and wanted to put on a show. His talent and heart was no match for Vera's ring smarts and determination. Over rated at this point or not, I think because of how long he has been near the front line of the sport you have to respect him.
