** Why the need to ask when you can be found *******ly spewing nonsense about Tyson with the flair of an expert?

Tyson peaked in 88 when he became the first and only to win and consolidate all 4 separate belts, a condition brought about by the King/Holmes era of splitting up the belts. In other words he not only beat the man who beat the man, but he also beat all the champs and former champs Holmes refused to meet. He was also only 21 yrs old and the richest fighter in history, heady stuff for a guy with his terrible background.

Holy's heavy peak is 88-91, culminating when he beat Foreman, his best win as that is Foreman's peak in his comeback. After this point, he becomes a very uneven fighter with many poor performances, like Tyson lite, Bert Cooper, ect. So, clearly Holy ain't even a blip on anyone's radar at Tyson's peak until 89.

From 89-91, phase 2 Tyson era begins as King has completely taken over Tyson's career. Tyson's first fight in 89 is against Bruno, a good fight as Bruno was the Brit best and it gives Tyson some international cache. Next comes Williams and Douglas, both very talented, but maybe with some chin and training issues, in otherwords vulnerable to big sluggers. Holy had probably risen to the top contender spot by then, so you have to go ask King why the fight wasn't scheduled until 90. My guess is King was having great difficulties with an out of control Tyson who could no longer be trained properly by the team of stooges King hired and needed to be put on new psychiatric meds to stabilize him just to keep him from killing himself or someone else.

But Douglas got the title from Mike, so the 90 fight deal *****ed and the fight scheduled for late 91, but Mike gets charged with **** and gets lost in the penal system until 95 and embarks up his 3rd career as circus freak attraction.

Bowe wouldn't fight anyone of note but Holy and Golota. He was more interested in his bed and adjoining kitchen.

The Morrison fight was lined up, but Morrison got beat by Lewis and then found out he had the HIV virus which killed that, all by 95.

Tyson signed to meet Mercer as a tuneup in advance of the Lewis fight, but Lewis sued to prevent the fight, which was canceled when Lewis sweetened the pot.

But why ask why when you already know all the nonsense anyone could ever possibly know?

Prospects repeatedly gives us a prime example of why is he is such a coward and the way he punks himself out of debates. He wanted me to list great fighters that Evander has beaten, i have given him plenty of them and what does he do? Chages the subject and twists facts around in a way that he thinks he is gaining some type of momentum in debates, which he isn't. Now that i have answered his questions, i wonder if the coward will give me any great fighters that Tsyon has beaten?

You still have yet to size up Ali and Langfords resume and explain to me how he beat greater fighters than Ali did. Like Prospect, you run out of debates and do not come back until something else is being brought up. Until you explain that, then we have nothing to discuss.

london, as respectful as i consider you to be, and as much as i love reading your posts, there's simply no way trying to argue with the dumbest poster on Boxing Scene and that is slicksouthpaw aka Hypocrite.

You told me to name one fighter and i did, which was Foreman. Like i have said, there have been many come from behind knockouts. A win is a win and if you can't admit that it was a legit win, then you are a joke and i am wasting my time.

I did not say that Stewart and Cooper were greats, another example of you twistisg words and not knowing what you are talking about. I simply stated that they were good contenders and nothing more. Foreman was great. Now again, who did Tyson beat that was in their prime?
