Paulie Malignaggi V. Ricky Hatton (Who wins it once and for all...)

This is something i posted in another thread and its possibly my most logical point in regards to the result of the fight...including a video made by MaTTuP to show what im talking about:

I'm glad to hear the surgery was a success.

I think if this works out well and paulie can use both hands to their full potential the whole 12 rounds i say he beats hatton.

Not many pay attention to the fights in which paulie was able to use both hands completely...i mean his knockouts (which isnt many) came from good right hands (most of them)...i mean with two hands he boxes (in my opinion) as the best upper B level/lower A level fighter currently.

He's not elite but can get the job done.

This is a video made by MaTTuP... it shows what im talking about when he can fight with both hands...and uses his speed:

So if this surgery helps enough to allow him to use both hands hatton will have a hell of a time trying to get to him...paulie isnt incredibly strong with his punches but i think he has enough power to at least keep guys off...cotto doesnt have the strongest chin in the world but a good combination of a crisp punch and speed got cotto off balance...knocked ndou down...and when he was able to use both hands early in his career he did put some guys down pretty impressively (see the first two knockdowns of the video)...

too bad he hurt his hands so many times he has no power now...

i think the hatton v. paulie fight will be a close one; more than likely a split decision in either man's favor...

the only way anyone should get surprised is if hatton goes down or if paulie goes down on something other than a body shot (he's shown he has a pretty good chin and a big heart).

If paulie cant use both hands he wont win though...he HAS TO be able to use both hands so i really hope his hands are good by the time of the fight otherwise it wont be nearly as close.
my prediction is paulie by a close split decision as i believe he'll be able to use both hands especially considering how good his hand surgeon is...considering he's worked on the likes of micky ward, etc.

Well, from what I've seen from Paulie the last couple fights, I think Ricky Hatton takes this semi-easily.

Hatton will win by UD or late TKO.....Paulie looked like **** in his last 2 fights and his hand problem won't go away....Hatton is kinda past his prime now, but he's still good enough to whoop Paulie's ass....Hatton will walk through Paulie's feather fisted punches and pressure the **** outta Paulie, Paulie may win a few rounds off his jab and boxing ability, but Hatton's relentless, aggressiveness and pressure will be too much for Malignaggi....I wouldn't be surprised if Paulie breaks his hand again fighting Hatton, his right hand is just too brittle.

You have to be able to hurt Hatton to beat him. All Paulie can do is frustrate him, and I can't see him pulling that off for the full 12 rounds. Hatton by a clear decision.

wow im surprised hatton is getting so much credit.

i heard the arguement, "paulie looked bad in his last two fights" but what about his performance the fight JUST before the last two when he absolutely OWNED ndou...(as a two handed fighter)...

Or even though it was a clear beatdown paulie showed his ability against cotto to take shots and still be in the fight...

if you see that video i posted here you have to admit if paulie can use both hands its going to be no easy fight.

If Paulie fights a smart fight, utilizes his jab, throws more right hands and dosen't break his hand again than he has a good chance, but Paulie is macho and has a habit of going toe to toe which isn't a good thing because he can't hurt anybody with his feather fisted shots and he ends up hurting his hand in the process.

Yeah Paulie shutout Ndou in the first fight, but Ndou is a C level fighter, Hatton is easily a top 15 p4p fighter....Malignaggi looked good against Cotto, but Cotto was weight drained, he was killing himself to make 140.

              Hatton will win.

Hatton by an easy decision. Paulie will not be able to keep away from Hatton. Sure Paulie will land lots of punches, but Hatton will keep getting inside and work away. Hatton is just too good on his feet.

I'm not surprised that you are surprised. Hatton wins this one easily unless paulie suddenly morphed into a mayweather.

                    what about the lazcano fight?

paulie is certainly more talented/skilled than lazcano and he gave hatton a run for his money at certain points of the fight...even hurt him...

paulie wont hurt hatton...but i think he has enough speed to slow hatton down like hatton wore down against lazcano...
