Margaritos going down just like Quintana did, so Cotto can retire de la hoya in december.

What hype?...The people who say Margarito is the most feared welterweight who could KO the likes of mayweather are just fooling themselves...

The real Hype here is Cotto

But unlike Margarito, Cotto actually earned his hype beating some of the best fighters in his divison climbing in the P4P rankings, staying undefeated doing it.

The Margarito Hype Machine was created by Bob Arum and his mythical 8million dollar offer.....not by anything that Margarito did in the ring.

            A. Lost decisions to low caliber fighters like Rodney Jones. But yeah he was young.

            B. Failed to adjust in a rematch against Santos and suffered the same fate again.

            C. on his way to getting outboxed by Clottey, taking some serious shots in the first 4 rounds making Clottey look like a great boxer. And would have lost if Clottey knew how to adjust his game like Floyd, when getting your hand injured.

            D. Getting outboxed by Paul Williams making him look like a great boxer/mover. Quintana showed what one can do to Williams if one has some decent skills.

We can keep going. Probably all the way to latter Z.
Three out of these four statements are so ****** it's laughable. And I'm picking Cotto to win.

Are u pple serious??? Giving Cotto no shot to win???? You guys must be either Mexican or serious Margarito **** suckers to say Cotto has no shot to win, this is the funniest thing I read since the time when pple said Gomez had a chance to defeat Cotto, just cuz he was staring at Cotto hard in the press conferences LMAO....I'm level headed and I say Cotto will win, I never said Cotto will steam roll over Margarito, although I will LAUGH MY ****N ASS OFF if that happens

You only made half your argument. You failed to show how he was in the same class as Ward (who lost at least a dozen fights) and Gatti (who lost to Ivan Robinson twice in his prime). Robinson wasn't even as good as Rodney Jones.

Margarito won a unanimous decision over Clottey, a guy that no other top welterweight wants to fights. People can whine all they want about his damaged hand, it was Margarito who had surgery after the fight, not Clottey. He was starting to get to Santos when he lost because of a butt in a dubious decision in Santos' hometown.

Which 3 and why? Show me what's wrong about what I said.

                  Thanks in advance.

That's why I said "He is barely above the C-level" meaning he is slightly ahead of the Ward's and Gatti's.

But not by much skillwise and accomplishment wise.

Gatti is a 2-division champion. Margarito failed in his first attempt at a 154 title and ran back down to fight weaker, shorter fighters.

I hope Cotto can land one of those body punches and get him out of there. However I think Cotto will realize that he can't and will decide to box ( like he did against Mosley in the late rounds) and will win by UD. You don't need Floyd Mayweather skills to outbox a guy like Margarito, that's how slow he is. The Floyd would put a 120-108 beating on this guy. Cotto will probably get away with a 116-111 type beat down taking a few shots along the way. Either way I don't think Cotto will lose. He has proven himself against better, faster, more accurate opponents to lose to a guy like Margarito.

I hope I'm wrong and Cotto scores a Ko or Tko. Cotto just got done knocking around a tough mexican in his last fight, who has never been knocked down or out before. There is always a first for guys who have no defense no matter how tough they are.

Who better then Cotto. More skilled then Cintron (or anybody that Margarito has faced) with better ability to land accurate punches and just as much punching power to do some serious damage.

The Tiujana Tornado Hype needs to end.
Margarito should kill himself. He's insulting us by breathing.
