Hatton had one of biggest fan bases in the world and the numbers proved it , the fact that Hatton and ODH are the most popular public appeal fighters worldwide is the main reason Floyd fought them , he is right when he says Cotto is not a draw , back then Cotto was nothing as far as the numbers went , but that is changing and the fight is gaining momentum and its on course to happen , these things take time to build into a mega superfight for the masses not just the real boxing fans but the man in the street .

As much as i would love Floyd to Rock with Cotto, what sense does it make to happen now.

I fight you in 2008 when your a big nameand fight and bring in good money
Or I'll fight you next year and bring in about doube of what i would have made last year.

Cotto might be popular in Ny and on the web but in reality he's not bringing in the PPV numbers or even big numbers on Free HBO. So technically he's not a draw. Or a BIG one at that.

I mean for real you guys really act as if, if you were in Floyd position you wouldn't do the same thing. Wait it out a while and wait for the Big dollars. Why pass up the best case scnario for being implussive and impatient.
After Oscar there isn't any big money fights, Floyd will take another 20 million dollar pay day. Now however a cotto pay day is worth 17 million or less.

I think Floyd is talking sense, and anybody in his position, who is obssessed with making money, and if that's why you fight, then you will wait longer in order to make it bigger and more financially rewarding.
