The fight should have been stopped,bad job by the ref imo...Why let him take anymore punishment...

I was wondering because Serrano didn't expect it at all and it just seemed like bell had just rang, the ref was stepping in and Serrano was relaxed as if he was ready to walk back to the corner...Mayfield waited until it was ringing to throw the punch. Fits the profile though, he also pumps that jab and lulls the other guy a little bit before throwing the right. Waits for the be to surprise the other guy and get in a quick, semi-cheap shot.

Either way, Serrano's only chance was to take this by Decision.....

I think anybody that was watching Karim crack knew it was only a matter of time before one of those looping shots landed right on the button...he kept trying to set that up, Serrano kept giving him opportunities to.

That looked like a right handed version of the punch Martinez landed on Williams. The dad is ******. The fight should have been stopped.

I'm suprised they didn't dq the fight since the cornermen jumped in during a count Luckily it wasn't no guarded prospect being Ko ed

Well, that was interesting.

I think ESPN should give us another fight for making me watch the softball when the fights shouldve been on earlier...

Referees end fights too soon these days. Unless the fighter is motionless like William was, give him at least 8 seconds to get to his feet especially at the end of the round when he will have a minute to recover. Even with that, I could see some referees stopping the fight when Serrano was on his feet instead of giving him the 1 minute before the start of the next round. I'm glad they had this ref.

Whether or not the punch was on the bell is another matter.
