I hate to say it, but I think that ole Stevie is gonna get KO'd. I really would love to see him win, though.

oscar is one of my favourite fighters, but for some reason i want steve to win this one. i cant explain why.......but i want to see him victories. it's just oscar already made a future for himself, he was a champion in his prime, and he's got all the money in the world. he's got nothing to loose in this fight, except maybe a rematch with floyd. regarsless of who wins, he will still fight floyd but the interest wont be as wild. and those are selfish and greedy reasons for oscar to win. forbes on the other hand has nothing to loose, and it's a perfect chance for him to build his future. this is the kind of guy you want to root for. he looses he'll be just another nobody, a tune up for another opponent.

but i doubt he'll pull it off

He is gonna lose but im gonna be rooting for him. I've liked him for a long time now. Not really a fan, but he seems like a really good guy.

Theres just something about a guy like Forbes being given this MASSIVE oppurtunity that tells me never to count him out. AND he has Jeff Mayweather in his corner who could help him a lot. Roger would have done a lot better but w/e

If Forbes can stop the unwanted rematch from happening, he'll be a boxing hero forever to me.

Amen. I don't care if he lost 5 straight fights after this. He'd still be Fighter of the Year in my book.

hate to say it fellas, but WBC rules states that in order to challenge the Champ for a title fight...you must come off a win! Golden Boy Promotions is paying huge dividends to Steve Forbes, who will put on a great show, picks up his check, and his family eats good for the rest of thier lives. There is much too much money riding on De La Hoya -vs- Mayweather II.

The story behind Steve "Two Pounds" Forbes, and Oscar "giving back" by fighting on HBO in 7 years, is, for the most part, Ingenius Promoting. Should Steve Forbes not be content with his check after all the deductions are made, he'd tell De La Hoya he wants in on GBP, or he'll tell the world how he was paid to take a huge dive, even though the contract will have a fine print saying he can't sue Golden Boy.

De La Hoya must win to Challenge for Mayweather's WBC 154lb title.
