How confident are you on your pick?

Bhop-Calzaghe, what is your pick, and how confident are you that your pick will win?

I put points on Calzaghe and am regretting the hell out of it now.

I am probably 60/40 sure that Hopkins will win this one as of now.

I watched some tape and I felt better, put it that way. The Tarver fight for example, restored some confidence. Now, legend has it that Tarver looked like **** in that fight - but guess what?!? Not until the mid rounds after Hopkins put about 25 straight right hands through the back of his skull. The version of Tarver that saw the opening bell was just as sharp, and looked physically better, than the one who cut Clinton Woods to pieces on last saturday. Don't believe me? Watch the fight again.

It helped me realize how just plain old fashioned good Bernard Hopkins is. What he did to Tarver should not be devalued.. Seeing what Antonio did to Clinton was a healthy reminder. Tarver is not garbage, and he wasn't the night he fought Bernard Hopkins. Bernard was just Bernard. He took Tarver's heart and ate it.

Calzaghe should win, but Hopkins is a tough SOB to fight. I'll bet some points on Joe, but I'm not the least bit tempted to bet real money on this fight. I'm a lot more curious about this fight rather than excited by it.

Anybody who has an extreme amount of confidence on either side is delusional. This the closest big name fight that I can think of the last few years.

I understand how/why Calzaghe is favored and don't think it's unjust to have him as the favorite, although I would say the odds might be a little too high in his favor.

I agree with everything you say regarding Hopkins/Tarver/Woods Addison. But Joe Calzaghe is three levels up from these (Woods and Tarver) fighters and he actualy throws punches.

Calzaghe Will be faster than Hopkins (thats a given) he'll be able to outbox him, he'll be just as strong and is just as happy in the trenches. i give Nard a a slight edge in power but that wont be enough to beat Calzaghe because his chin and heart are first class.

Im thinking - 117-111 for Calzaghe, it'll be competirive for 6 rounds then Joe will clean up the last 6 rounds because of his much better condition.

Also, i see Calzaghe looking very strong just now, usualy when he's making 168 he's very gray and his face looks drawn because he struggles to make the weight. I think we're just about to see the best version of Joe Calzaghe we have ever seen.
