(2005-02-26) Corley: Cotto is not on Zab or Mayweather's level

    Yet...

Funny how 2 years can change some ****, huh?

Cotto dominates Judah, and now is considered easily the biggest threat to Mayweather's throne.

He was just bitter about that horrible stoppage in his fight with Cotto. Corley was going to get crushed eventually, but the ref did stop it too quick.

Corley made some funny expressions in that fight.

It was actually THREE years ago, giving him plenty of time to improve and Zab to decline. At the time, Zab was definitely the better of the two. Of course he is way better than Zab now, but like someone said, he was just bitter about the stoppage. And no way is he near Mayweather's stratosphere.

I don't agree with the stoppage being bad.

Corley went to the canvas 5 times, and after he took the second knee (stoppage) he clearly shook his head "no" when the ref asked him if he wanted to continue.

However, it's clear that Corley might have been shaking his head out of simple frustration at having to take the knee and regain his facilities.

Either way he was getting his ass handed to him, and I think the negative body language of Corley's made the ref think he was looking for a way out of the fight.

As mentioned above, he was probably just bitter by the stoppage.
