Schaefer: ““Obviously Bob Arum is a more experienced promoter than I am so I am willing to buy out Pacquiao for six million dollars right now because this is the fight that the fans want. Coincidentally Marquez asked Pacquiao asked for a rematch inside the ring and Pacman immediately said no.?br />

      ok schafer said it.

Until a journalist writes it down its a complete BS.

In the heat of the event that just happened pacquiao might have said that but later on says:

            PACQUIAO: WE CAN FIGHT AGAIN!

No offence to Marquez but Pac has more lucrative fish to fry. Why fight Marq for 6 mil when he will end up fighting Hatton for 10+. I do think there should be a rematch though, this could be another great trilogy.

for the record at the presser Manny said that it was up to his promoter to make the fight when JMM asked him for a third fight so he never said no. It's Arum who is balking at a third fight and even then he said he wanted to put "air" between this one and a third one because PPVs coming off back to back fights dont do well and cited Pavlik Taylor II as a source. I agree as the Barrera Morales trilogy spanned from 2000 to 2004 and it did well numbers wise. I think its smart to let this build again but to still have it by late 08 early 09.

The boxingscene article also says his immediate reactions was a no, but im thinking this fight will definately happen again, if its at 135 I dont think it will be immediately and Pac might grab that belt to make the third one also for a championship.

Pacquiao had told Marquez who asked for a title rematch at the end of the bout last Sunday that he was basically not willing, but appeared to be ready to change his stand if he felt the price is right.
