Ofcourse he's not really managing the guy (atleast I dont think he is) but have you guys seen the preview for that new show on BET where its going to be like 7 rappers & Floyd managing 8 fighters in a MMA tourney? It looks like more of a street type hip hop tourney but its still some really good fighters.

Have you guys talked about this? If not then what do you think about it? Do you think he is making boxing look bad by going into wrestling & MMA or do you think thats good for us? On the previews it seems like he was really into the fighting. I think the show comes on within the next week or so
        You watch BET...

I haven't heard about it and from the sounds of it I won't be watching even though I'm an MMA fan.

I think mayweather doing wrestling is good for the sport of boxing unless he is doing the wrestling thing INSTEAD of taking fights but I doubt he would be in a boxing match right now even if he wasn't doing this extra caricular activity.

You're not making any sense...first you say

But i honestly find it funny that every two seconds you have adverts on BET talking about having safe ***, taking your SAT's and getting to college.

            Then you say

To contrast with the white channels, you dont have any ads like that.

First you find it funny BET has those ads, then you say BET doesnt have any ads like that...

actually guys, from the commercials it looks like its going to be a pretty good show. It also has some quality guys behind it, like the guy who made that UFC show. Check it out
              ---------------------------------------

Combat sports just got tougher. From the creator of “Ultimate Fighting Challenge” – one of the most successful new sports formats in entertainment – comes “IRON RING,” a show that introduces “new jack” celebrities from music, sports and Hollywood to the most dangerous fighters in the world.

The hard-hitting sport of Ultimate Fighting takes on a whole new flavor as these celebrity-managed human gladiators battle it out on BET.

Tune in Tuesday, March 18, at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) for the network premiere.

An all-star line-up of celebrities, including Ludacris, Juelz Santana, Lil Jon, Nelly and Floyd Mayweather, will manage teams of fighters in the best mixed martial arts match-ups on television.

From a steel ring above the arena, the celebrity “owners” will interact with their gladiators between rounds – and sometimes right in the middle of them. Each week, as top competitors enter the battle zone to face off, using the combined techniques of jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, boxing, kickboxing and wrestling, viewers will witness true-to-life, bone-crushing, face-smashing sports entertainment unlike anything ever seen before. Only the strong will survive

I think Floyd's choice to fight Oscar again is not good for the fans of boxing. But to say that Floyd isn't doing great things for boxing is absurd. He has garnered more public attention to our sport than anyone has in a while. He is becoming a house hold name.

BET is probably the worst channel ever created, and this is coming from a black male.

you guys ***** about everything that has floyd mayweathers name on it. then you turn it into a black thing. i give all the props in the world to bob johnson, the founder of bet. he turned it into a multi billion dollar tv station and helped promote our black entertainers before we broke into the masses. hell, dont blame bet for the shows their playing, blame mtv, they own the station now.
