Definitely. And when you use the word ever Stanley Ketchell should be there too.

Of course it was the Benn fight Gerald took a monumental beating in that 10rd war.
It was mostly Benn taking that beating though Gerald took some huge punches himself.

After the Jackson fight Gerald McClellan had frequent head aches and bleeding which are signs of brain damage.
He never took any punches after that Jackson fight until the Benn fight because he KO'd all of his opponents in the first round.

      Jackson vs McClellan

The Ring top 100 punchers of all time list rates Stanley Ketchel #6, Robinson #11, Hearns #18, Graziano #23, Jackson #25, McClellan #27, Briscoe #34, Marvin Hagler #35, Mugabi #38, Monzon #40, Tony Zale #41, Eugene Hart #61, Benn #91.
It's not really about the hardest punchers but about the best punchers.
There's some names to consider though.

everyone who knows already spoke the truth as to who are the hardest punching middleweights.

the whole list is a great list, but you have to have The G-Man and The Hawk at the top that list. then you can list the others.

those two were my favorites growing up, it killed me to watch them fight.

and it kills me knowing how McClellan is now...............................

Hearns, everyone seems to forget Hearns. The ONLY fighter that i've ever seen that has hurt Hagler, His straight right was knocking out people at light-heavy.

Someone who lists Jake LaMotta among the hardest hitting middleweights ever and does not list guys like Gerald McClellan, Stanley Ketchel, Cyclone Hart, Julian Jackson, and Rocky Graziano has little right to call others "******".

Furthermore, it is well known that Gerald was suffering from frequent headaches after the first fight with Jackson and not an unpopular belief that he was an injured man going INTO the Benn fight.

Benn hit the hardest, Jackson was the best KO artist, and McClellan had the heaviest hands.

Ahh well, not everyone knows what they're talking about. Well, then again, to not know this topic is a bit weird....? I thought everyone knew that Jackson's one punch KO's were simply the most brutal, vicious things in the history of the sport! Of course, as everyone's said, McClellan, Hearns, Ketchell etc need to be there.

BTW, Benn was not the hardest puncher. Jackson and McClellan were both much harder punchers and both had much worse one punch KO's than Benn did. Benn = good power, very good. Not as hard as Jackson though, nor McClellan.
