Mikkel Kessler vs Chad Dawson @ 175

Dawson UD. I can understand if some people are picking Kessler to win since Dawson is still unproven. But Dawson has a high workrate just like Calzaghe, and probably hits just as hard, if not harder.

when ever there is a thread envolving a black fighter against a white fighter, even though you know that the black fighter would win, you just pick the white fighter because you dont like black people. i think it started with the Bernard Hopkins/Joe Calzaghe thing.

HAHA, my picks of Kessler and Pavlik over Dawson have nothing to do with race. You need to stop overrating Dawson.

I am not sold on Dawson yet...his 2 biggest wins were over a weight drained overrated Tomasz Adamek and a washed up Eric Harding...he was hurt and knocked down in both fights.

I am being a little biased with Pavlik because he is my 2nd favourite fighter and I wouldn't be surprised if Dawson won a UD...that's why I said I think Pavlik would catch Dawson's suspect chin while TRAILING on the scorecards for a KO/TKO victory. This pick is half head-half heart.

However, I am 100% confident that Mikkel Kessler would beat Dawson...he is bigger,stronger and faster than Pavlik and he hits just as hard...like I said, Kessler would crack Dawson's chin and win by KO/TKO.

yeah but Dawson was not seriously hurt in neither of those fights, and i can not believe you would actually call the Eric Harding fight a knockdown. it was a weak jab that put him down because he was off balance. and Ademek caught him when he was not paying attention, but still he was not seriously hurt, only stunned. the point is that he got up and dominated both of those fights. Ademek is only overrated to you because of how easily Dawson dismantaled and took him apart. Ademek was a very good fighter and now he is knocking people out at cruiserweight. and i LMAO when you say that you are 100% confident that Kessler would beat Dawson when Kessler has not fought anyone that posses the skill that Dawson does, and when he fought a real champion, we all know what happened. he lost by wide UD. hes simply not in Dawson league when it comes to overall skill and ability. Dawson has every advantages over Pavlik and Kessler. and even if he did have a weak chin, (which he does not) how would the robotic Kessler or Pavlik hit it? they are not quick enough and will get counetered badly coming in.

Both were flash knockdowns and if you watch both fights he never showed any signs of being hurt. Every fighter has been knocked down, even the ones that have really tough chins.

That's if his chin is bad as you say it is, which it isn't. Also Pavlik is a MW while Dawson is a LHW, Dawson doesn't have to worry about Pavlik's power that much. Anyways Dawson is too skilled for Pavlik, he'll rip him with combinations to the head and body. If you thought Pavlik being knocked down by Taylor was bad, expect that except 3X worse. The point is Dawson will TKO or UD Pavlik. As for Kessler I see that as a 60-40 matchup in Dawson's favor, but there not going to fight anyway because he still has to fight Glen Johnson and his mandatory Adrian Diaconu, and by that time Dawson will be experienced enough to beat Kessler convincingly.

Even though Kessler lost, he was still impressive in the Calzaghe fight and he landed a lot of bombs that would have stopped most fighters, but Calzaghe has an iron chin and a huge heart and he took the punches very well.

Kessler will land bombs on Dawson just like he did against Calzaghe and I truly believe Dawson will crumble and get KO/TKO'd...if this fight ever happens I will gladly bet all my points on Kessler.

Joe Cal isnt your run of the mill slick southpaw though. the guy just hits you from all types of angles. Dawson isnt as active as Joe Cal. He paces himself more and though he does a good job of sticking and moving, he can be found right infront alot of the times. Kessler has proven to be pretty good at finding targets and closing off the ring when his opposer starts walking. All I can say that if this fight is ever made, I will be really happy.

Dawson's chin is what would worry me from a Dawson perspective Kessler hits hard if Adamek & Harding can have Dawson over imagine what Kessler could do

& if Kessler is accurate with any of his punches its his right hand which coincidently is the shot to look for against a Southpaw ,dont get me wrong im a Dawson fan but in all fairness he has been dominating limited fighters in Adamek & especially in Ruiz & Mendoza

although Dawson can only beat what is put infront of him in fairness to the guy

I'm down for sure.....I am not totally sold on Diaconu yet and I won't be surprised if he gets beat by Dawson, but I will take the bet anyway because I have a lot of points.
