Clottey has good defense .. he won't get cracked like Walter did

ya'll are looking at the power aspect way too much .. sure Kermit has more 1 punch kayo power ... but so what, Clottey puts his hands up ... he's not going to be a sitting duck for Cintron's power shots

Clottey has to fight strong down the stretch, he definitely cannot coast the last 2 rounds like he did vs Flores and Alverez

Cintron is being extremely overrated. He has good power but come Walter is a much different opponent than Clottey. He's an open target and is a small, vwery small opponent compared to Cintron. Clottey is a true big welter. He doen't need to knock out Cintron to win. Everyone is so enamored with the KO. Cintron won't hit Clottey cleanly enough to hurt him.

Plus he likes to fight on the inside which stunts long range power shots that Cintron needs to get off. Clottey is a top ten welter. You just don't KO guys like that. If you have watched any of his fights you'll notice he has agood beard along with an enormous steel head. You aint crackin that period.

Further more, who has Clottey fighted with the power punch that kermit Cintron brings to the table. His right power punch has been compared to Tito trinidad and Tommy Hearns by REAL BOXING EXPERTS. Clottey could not KO Alvarez Yesterday.
Someone gave me **** for this post....

In its March 2003 issue, Ring ****zine listed Kermit Cintron as one of the “Breakthrough Stars of 2003”.

In that same month respected boxing insider and former Ring ****zine editor Steve Farhood praised Cintron to Reading Eagle journalist Don Stewart: "He’s [Cintron] certainly considered as exciting a prospect as there is in the game today, and that includes the more heavily hyped Olympians. There are not that many pure punchers in the game today. Also, his body is so huge for a welterweight. In a sense, he really reminds me of a Thomas Hearns, except he has a bigger upper body. Combine that physique with his power, and you have a fighter everyone wants to watch.”

Ring ****zine Puts Wilson on 'Boxing's 10 Biggest Punchers' List!

The top five on the list were (from top to bottom) Wladimir Klitschko, Daniel Ponce De Leon, Manny Pacquiao, Kelly Pavlik and Edwin Valero. Kermit Cintron came in at number six, followed by flyweight Vic Darchiniyan, Wilson, newly-crowned world cruiserweight champ David Haye and Israel Vasquez.

And also KO ****zine (R.I.P.) had articles of kermit Cintron as a big time WW Prospect due to his power punch. Clottey-Cintron is not going to be a walkthrough for neighter of them, it's going to be WAR!

lol..thats funny for the simple fact that Cintron landed his bombs on Margarito early and Margarito didn't even blink.

The real question is what bout will Clottey take? The bigger fight or the fight that would probably be easier to win.

always does? he's got 1 loss on his record! and that had more to do with outside circumstances than the fight itself.

he crumbled over the pressure of a blown up Feliciano. and the stoppage was kinda quick IMO.

Cintron should be the favorite in this fight still. Clottey should have been able to ko his opponent he last fought, that guy ******. I'm embarrassed that Shamone Alvarez is from Jersey, because he fought like a ***** and had no power behind his punches what so ever. He should just quit boxing after a ****ty performance like that. He obviously was fighting bums before he took the fight with Clottey.

Theres losing, then theres embarrassing ways to lose. The way Shamone Alvarez lost his first fight is inexcusable, he looked like a little kid fighting a man. He had no power what so ever, his punches never once made clottey flinch.
