When did I say the US knows Hatton ?
The UK buys the ppv too all it ment was that I think that you will have more PPV buys from the UK then you will PR.
Nothing wrong with that idea I could be wrong but that's how i think it will play out.

Mayweather actually might be billed as exciting now, considering how he fought against Ricky.
You maybe right but for one lets wait until all the numbers come in remember how big of a jump PBF and Oscar had after a week.
Who knows it might become as big as Oscar vs Tito if Floyd stays away for awile like he says.
It could really draw off a returning champ vs Cotto the guy who took his place by then.

No one out side of PR or boxing has a clue who Coto is but I think even non boxing fans in UK know who Hatton is.
I agree. PR can't compete with the whole UK.

How many people knew Hatton before 24/7? They'll just promote the hell out of it like they did the last two. It's not like Hatton was a big draw. Do people think the fact that he had a charismatic personality brought in thousands of more buys?

They'll play Cotto up to be the good guy, show how determined and exciting he is. Show some media members say he's probably Floyd's biggest challenge at 147. Show how he's a hero in PR...

Yeah they will and it will sell very well but from what i've seen they are talking that Hatton Floyd is going over 1.5 which will make it one of the biggest ever.
It may happen but as of right now I wouldn't put my money on it being bigger is all.

but what does this say abot mayweather, as he would be as much to blame as cotto would if you look at it from your point of view. i want to see this fight happen but i'm really not craving it, and i'm basing it from a competitve stand, because i don't see cotto as a threat to floyd in the ring. but, as far as a draw goes, i think it would do well, but if floyd sees no money in it, he would have to blame himself just as much as his opponents especially if he considers himself a draw, which he is. if ricky hatton brought many from his country over here, cotto could and would too. he has the hispanic fans in puerto rico that would make the trip or at least order the fight, abd he would get a 24/7 like hatton did, and the buildup would be great i'm sure, and they could fight in vegas or new york, it wouldn't matter, it would sell out. the drawing power has nothing to do with it, cotto would not defeat floyd, period.
