The scene was mostly about his weak hands. So yes, he CAN say that.

I believe him, this isn't the 1st time he has complained about hurt hands, a fighter without his hands is a sitting duck and Floyd's days are numbered which is why I sayif he wins either face Cotto then retire or retire and let Cotto fight for the belts but he souldn't keep fighting if it's going to cause him harm for the rest of his life outside of Boxing, it wouldn't be smart and he's smart, either fight Cotto or give up the belts and call it a day but thats just that.. I believe him though because he been talking about his hands for quite some time I just wish him well. 100

he's been complaining about his hands for years...
why would he be lying now?

i guess because hopkins can fight in his forties we should use that as the standard for how long a man should be able to box...

I don't understand how people can compare one boxer's body to another.

New flash: Everyone's physiology is different.

And something else, how can guys like Harry Greb (400 some fights), Archie Moore, Henry Armstrong, Ray Robinson and numerous other legends have well over a hundred fights each (and some close to 200 pro fights) and Mayweather be all worn down and tired and needing some midol? With his modern day training regime, in the plushest of life styles and with a possee hovering around him waiting on him hand and foot, how can he say that kind of stuff with a straight face?

            I call B.S.
It's a different age and it takes different qualities. Mayweather can perform at an extremely high level in a given fight. But in the old days it took a different kind of body that maybe the kid just doesn't have.

I think he'll win but is he preparing the excuses just in case and if Hatton does manage to pull off the upset will these excuses take the shine off of his greatest achievment.
Mostly exaggerated to help hype the fight for people that don't give Hatton a chance at all. Notice how they haven't mentioned Ricky's bad elbows, etc.

Doubt its an excuse. What made me laugh though is on 24/7 they couldnt find the room where floyd was having his treatment and they have that done 3 times a week lol

That was completely staged. Of course they knew where the room was, it was Floyd trying to be funny. I only laughed because he was making himself look a complete tit.

He's a guy in a tough sport, of course there's gonna be some break down.

It's not like his body was breaking down from steroid use and he cancelled his mandatory 4 straight times, like some overrated quitters, then tried to cut in line to fight the champ a couple years later then cancelled again.
