As for Barrera going to Law School, I haven't heard about it lately, now that he has all the time to do it although it was on many lips some years back.

We're at the Bohol Beach Club, pal. This is my fifth visit to Bohol. We got in rather late.

I just came into our villa after a rather long dinner. The villa is internet wired, so no problem.

I haven't strolled down to the beach yet. I'll take to Bohol's legendary clear blue waters, sun and sand tomorrow.

We will be moving to Cebu in a few days, then, go on to Samal in Davao, before flying back to Manila.

Thanks for the offer, buddy! I dunno if my wife will let me take you up on that, though! LOL!!! You know what I mean...

See ya around! My best to the folks at the Pinoy Loungue. Gotta catch a few winks...

Well for me I think this is probably Pacquiao's peak and the only oppurtune time fighting someone from lightweight. And if he is fighting @ LW, he might as well fight the best although honestly, I dont like his chances. I think many Pac fans wants to see pacquiao fight a winnable fight, hence the Marquez preference. I also beleive the Diaz fight would be much more money generating besides the Marquez bout.

Geez youre touring the country all the way to Samal. That a great island really. Im surprised you didnt included Boracay, actually Imma gonna be there Nov 10-13 for my wedding anniversary, so I get were both locked with our respective wives in the coming days for the meantime

Have a wonderful vacation there ol pal !

what the **** is Roach talking about?? a Marquez fight will be alot bigger then a Juan Diaz fight, sad to say but its true.. He says he wants Juan Diaz and that "who has he beaten?" then why the **** do you want Juan Diaz instead of a proven fighter that got a draw against his fighter Pacquiao... ****** ass trainer

The poll I referred to pal is not on a Filipino boxing site. I am not sure Rick and BigPoppa will allow me to explicitly mention the site's name here, so I won't out of respect. I can give you hints, I guess: it's U.S.-based, I think, and its name is that two word phrase that has always been used to refer to the sport of boxing as a whole. The name evokes thoughts of sugar, ice cream, candy as it does test tubes, laboratories...

So, it seems majority of even US boxing fans want the Marquez fight too.

We've been to Boracay over a dozen times, buddy. Our first trips there were about two decades back--when few knew about it. Now it has become too crowded for old folks like my wife and me. Even in the so-called "off season" such as now. Too many people doing an early escape of winter and trooping to the tropical paradise. So, Bohol, Mactan, Samal and Pagudpod are what we prefer. And, yes there's El Nido and those little islands off Palawan, too.

Anniversary? Well, now... Have a truly happy one, buddy! Same with the missus!

As for being locked to the wifey, I can't get away from that, pal. She's also my assistant in our own little practice. We work and play together. I'm doomed...

Time for sand, sea and sun, pal. See ya...take it ez.

And should stay that way, imo. I think Roach is underestimating Diaz, should be a damn good fight.

Hhhmmmm lemme get my ol brain working here... hmmm first word would have to be "sweet' and the second hhmmmm" science"...hehehehehe... Oh ok now i figured it out. Well yes the Marquez fight is more popular and i believe it will happen soon.

Are you going to the WBC convention here in Manila? I think its on next week but Im not sure if i can make it because after Boracay we'd go to Baguio for our holiday extension. We need to cool off the tan I guess I heard DLH, Barrera, Hopkins and Chavez were invited to come. Damn i wish Id be there.

Yeah Boracay has become really crowded and too many kids running around, although I dont mind since they are mostly in bikinis . Im thinking of getting a property in Aklan or Caticlan (which is a boat ride away from Boracay) as a retirement home someday. There are other islands off Boracay which arent crowded and can be reached by boat like Turtle Island and Puka Beach. Hardly any people around and water is a clear as bottled water. Id bring along some seafoods and ribs for a BBQ there, way better than our $30 hotel meal.

Thanks for the wishes and extend my best wishes to your wife too.

                  LOL! Easy wasn't it? LOL!

Retirement in the Philippines! That's what wifey and I are now working on. We're looking at a number of places. Bohol is now on top of our list. Primarily because of the people and the real estate prices. Mactan's advantage is it's close to the city of Cebu where medical facilities are as good as anywhere else in South East Asia (that's something old folks consider very important ) so we're looking at pieces there closely as well. Then there are those islands beyond Mactan-- I can't recall the name of the island group, but I have been there once and it was just enthralling. Word has it, however, that there's massive tourism build-up there, so...

I haven't been to those islands close to Boracay that you mentioned. I'll ask around. Maybe we still have a bit of time to go.

I can't be in Manila for the WBC confab. We've got our booking in Samal about the same time and we can't cancel. I'll be glued to satt tv for reports, though. They have satt tv in the resort there, I was told.

I'll be watching Mosley-Cotto for free here. It's on free tv...some network called SolarSports. Watched Marquez-Juarez for free too! It was on ABS. Everything's just great!

The only irritant in this trip is that the dollar does not go as far as it used to. The peso has gotten stronger while the US currency continues to get weaker.

                  Anyway....

Thanks too for the wishes, buddy!
