I'd say right now Cintron is probably the hardest puncher p4p. Seeing a guy thats like 26-1 with 25kos get obliterated by Cintron confirmed that to me. The right hand that put Walter down for good was partially blocked by his glove and deflected a bit but still made his head look like jello when it landed.
P4P, meaning, they've knocked out P4P quality opponents. I'm not talking tomato cans(Valero), or fighters with big punching reps, yet have not knocked out quality opponents(Edison Miranda).
You say Cotto isn't a big puncher, yet he's stopped his quality opponents in the later rounds with his heavy hands and makes their mug look like a different person by the end of the night. He may not pack 1 punch KO power, but he's still KOing the competition before the final bell rings.
Israel Vasquez and Rafael are near even in terms of power, and they can knock you out at any moment if their punch lands. They are knock out artists of the lower weight classes that have carried up their punch in weight.
Manny's speed is more dangerous than his punch, and it's obviously evident his KOs are based on accumulation, and not 1 punch does the job. At least these days.
Pavlik can move up easily, but to me, his biggest win is over Taylor and that's not enough yet. But it was evident the way he took out the dangerous Miranda, that he hits very hard and seems to get the job done all the time.
My opinions on this topic has nothin' to do with the fact that I'm a huge PAC fan. But here it goes..
#1 PAC -
Many of you from the western hemisphere if not all don't know who Sasakul was. Well, lets put it this way. He was one of the best in his division during his prime. And PAC put him away in one of the most devastating ko's i've seen. The guy was never knocked down or out prior to facing the Killer PAC!
When was the last time MAB was flat on his @ss prior to PAC(J. Jones was many moons ago) and after the first PAC fight, and I ain't talkin' about no flash knockdowns either(If mab wasn't so defensive minded in last week's fight he may have very well taken another trip on the canvas)
When was the last time EM hit the deck prior to and after facing PAC(flash kds not included) NEVER!
Eventhough JMM put up a valiant effort against PAC and PAC wasn't able to finish the job, have y'all seen JMM get decked the way he did in any of his fights? NO
PAC may not have the same pop as he used to, having moved up several weightclasses. But how many other fighters that have moved up several weightclasses and have dropped fighters of PAC's opponents stature?
All four have always been graded with an A on the chin dept and all have fallen under PAC's fists. Past prime or not, none of those FHOF fighters suffered the kinda ****ing or tko's suffered in the hands of one man!
#2 Rafael Marquez - Although he hasn't faced the level of opposition PAC has destroyed, he's just an all-around terrifc fighter!
and y'all can fight over the rest
** To the thread starter, when you say strongest P4P puncher. Do you mean which fighters simply hit hard or fighters who have pure ko power, or both?
P4P, meaning, they've knocked out P4P quality opponents. I'm not talking tomato cans(Valero), or fighters with big punching reps, yet have not knocked out quality opponents(Edison Miranda).

First off , isn't speed = power. How is power generated? Through speed! Sure, there are heavy handed fighters, but w/o the speed it simply ain't the same.
PAC detractors often use the past prime excuse, when gauging PAC's power. Not even Juarez, who many considered on par w/ the best ko artists today made MAB hit the canvas in both fights, he had many opportunities in the first one and couldn't do it. JMM couldn't do it. That speaks volumes of PAC's power!
EM - Did MAB ever put EM down in a legitimate manner? Many of EM's fans thought EM was already past it in the 2nd and 3rd fight w/ mab. Zahir, who was lightining fast and a naturally heavier guy couldn't do it, w/ the many clean shots he smacked into EM's face all night. After the 3rd PAC fight David Diaz, a volume puncher, and a natural 135lber couldn't do it, and you can definitely say EM was past his prime then.
JMM- I didn't see any accumulation of punches by PAC when he made him hit the deck 3 times in the first round. Were there any other times that JMM got kd before and after facing PAC? PAC's problem is, is that he doesn't put much into punch selection, he just hits ya. He has definitely found a mark w/ his left straight, but alot of times it only hits a general area of his opponents face. He needs to be more accurate by trying to land it on one's chin or temple and I think he'll have more chances at ending a fight with a 1punch ko.
PAC's downside in his punching is not neccesarily the move up in weightclasses, but the accuracy department and to add to that, the level of opposition he has been fighting. I mean, MAB, EM, and JMM were not exactly the easiest nuts to crack(prime or past prime).
Tell me any other fighters today that have faced the same caliber of chin that the EM's, MAB's and JMM's have had all throughout their careers? Not only that, but PAC was the only one to have put a serious hurting on all three. Why is that. being past prime cannot be used as an excuse, because all three have fought on after PAC put 'em on their @sses and none of 'em hit the canvas.
