Who was the most fearsome fighter?

Which fighter best practiced the fine art of pre-fight psychological warfare? Who was the master of pre-fight intimidation? The fighters on the poll had a reputation (during their primes) for planting fear in the hearts of mortal men.

From the pre-fight press conference, to the weigh-in, to the ring instructions, these guys actively or passively (by rep only) disrupted their opponents' game plans. I've seen 'em utilize the ol' baleful stare during pre-fight instructions, and the opponent would timidly avoid eye contact.

George Foreman or Mike Tyson easily in their prime. I chose Foreman since he actually knocked legends out like Smokin Joe, Ken Norton unlike Tyson the can beater who only beat Michael Spinks and lost to Holyfield, Lewis.

Foreman i think his transformation into the cute, cuddily teddy bear grill selling christian says it all. the more drastic transformation the more it is implied that he was once one bad mofo son of a biotch scarry badassssssss!

tyson..so many first round knockouts, the fact that he was small (unlike foreman) and kept coming forward, his attitude, and he was labeled " the baddest man on the planet"

George Foreman, followed by Mike Tyson. At third I would put Marvin Hagler above any of the other poll options except maybe Liston. When Hagle rhad you, he had you. All he had to do was throw on that "war" baseball cap and the **** was on.

Why does it not surprise me that Tyson is currently in the lead? Probably because most posters here are either 14 or have never seen a prime Foreman.

3 men who had the Intimidation Factor were Mike Tyson , Sonny Liston and George Foreman.

All 3 in their primes could win a fight at the staredown.
