I say let's do the rematch asap. Taylor deserves it.
My bet will remain though that Pavlik will knock him out once again.

I don't think Taylor's people should put him in again with Pavlik right away. Let him have a tune-up, gain some confidence, and then have a rematch. If he got brutally KO'd again by Kelly in a few months his career could be ruined.

Unless Jermain obtained some great technical skill or vastly improved his defense he'd lose again. I doubt that'd happen so I don't need a rematch to see Jermain get hurt again.

its not like pavlik dominated people....i had taylor up by 3 points.....lederman is getting worse and worse by the fights...........taylor should of been able to finish pavlik off in the 2nd if only he would of thrown more DAMN uppercuts....oh well.....lesson learned......he took pavlik's shots pretty good up until that monster right and wicked left uppercut....it wont be a blow out i bet u all in a rematch........good win for pavlik though he gets my credit.....

I Believe Taylor Will Win The Rematch. I Think That He Never Thought That Pavlik Wasnt That Good. He Didnt Give Him Some Respect. But Im Sure That Taylor Will Win The Rematch. He Saw Some Flaws On Pavlik. He Will Get It On Rematch

I also think Taylor will win the rematch had he not punched himself out he wins the fight. I give Pavlik probs but the rematch would be good. Peace out

                I voted yes.

But not because I think Taylor can win. I'll have to ponder that..

I say yes because it's the only logical move for Jermain Taylor at this point.

I say he secretly has one foot out the door. I didn't like how Jermain sounded during the lead-up to this fight. He has little to no passion at all.

He'll fight Pavlik and then possibly fade out should he lose.

The criticism is breaking Jermain Taylor.

that was really pitiful when taylor went down. i felt sorry for the man. really upsetting because he had such a great start and could have knocked pav out in the beginning. If Taylor doesnt develop better accuracy and and timing, if he comes back to a rematch as the same Taylor then I wouldnt want to see a rematch.

                    agree...

but he shld be consistent w/ his game plan this time, just try to outbox pavlik and work on his defense.

I don't really see the need for a rematch, but it looks like it will happen and I will enjoy watching it.

I think Pavlik wins again. He won't make the same mistake he made in the second round tonight. The momentum was going in Pavlik's favor and I expect the rematch would be a continuation of that trend.

And it is a double or nothing proposition for Taylor. If he loses again by a drastic KO his stock will really fall, especially since its been on the decline as it is. I think it would be smarter to wait a couple matches for the rematch. Retool and look impressive against some less skilled orthodox fighters.

As for this Taylor punched himself out ****... Fine, he didn't get the KO in that round due to that but that's as far as the excuse goes. His getting knocked out cold in the 7th had nothing to do with that, and I bet if Pavlik didn't knock him out then it was coming in the 8th, or 9th, or 10th...
