WBA heavyweight Ruslan Chagaev is back in full training, writes Universum in a press release, after the stomach problems that caused the cancellation of the unification fight with WBO champ Sultan Ibragimov. Chagaev hopes to be able to make a title defense before the end of the year. Exactly what was the problem with champ was never really disclosed and there´s been plenty of rumors flying. [details]

Even though I would have bet on Ibragimov, I think he Chagaev is a much better technician and would have outworked Sultan.
Shall that fight happen, does he think he has a better chance against Wlad? Maybe it's just to cash in..
After his fight with Valuev.. I felt he had a lot of pride and pride for his country.. Just doesn't seem like the type who'd drop everything for money.

Despite all the rumors, I’m glad Chagaev is back and is ready to fight again (hopefully) later this year. The division needs tough fighters like Chagaev around….
