It was a good performance by Roy... But the ropes is a bad place its like fire to a fighter. But I think with Roy taking the layoff and everything its a given.

For a year layoff fighting a real good prospect with very impressive amateur resume, I have to say Roy looked good in there.. If he keeps active he will sharpen up more and be better next time around.. It made my night.. it bugged me he didnt finish him when he could of though.. he had the kid on dream street..

Roy's got to stay active. Dont lay off for a year again.
Come back and fight again within 4 to 6 months. Keep sharpening back up his skills

Why are you brining Floyd into this?? Last I looked this is a Roy Jones Jr Thread! Yes your right Roy is known to fight off the ropes and is known to go to the ropes to set up counters. But that wasnt the only case tonight(as in his last fight right away from the opening bell.). I thought roy should have thrown more combos and stay way from the ropes more then he did. He wasnt on the ropes just to open counters tonight like in the past...

I brought floyd into it because both Roy and Floyd are known to fight off the ropes and win fights that way
