Anyone know the latest on Danny?

In his last fight, he was a very impressive 228lb. He also scored an excellent volley of punches to register an impressive knockout and he iterated his desire to get into the ring again so it seems peculiar that he's been quiet for the past few months.

Here is a video I found of Danny, from 2001, he looked VERY VERY impressive here it has to be said.

Also worth noting that out of the 6 people that have beaten Danny, Danny has beaten 4 of them previously (Julius Francis, Michael Sprott, Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton). I think Danny would beat Samuel Sam if they fought again too.

Danny Williams had the talent, but lacks the mentality to be a champion, those 3 uppercuts in the first video how fast was that, its a shame, if he believed in himself more he would be a fantastic heavy.

Beilieve it or not, Danny was 258lbs in that fight. In his last fight, he was 228lbs, a full 30lbs lighter.

That, and given the fact that he's taken time off, recovered, repaired his body, is feeling better, fitter and fresher, theres no reason why he can't come back and avenge some of his defeats.

I think Maskaev and Chagaev are beatable by Danny Williams (a focused Danny like you saw in the first video), maybe even Ibragimov too.

lol he is a funny guy, he always talks about kipling's pies lmao. But seriously i also think he is a great fighter if he stays at that low weight which allowed him to beat gammer. I think his next fight is against some european geezer on quest for the european heavyweight title.

Me and my best mate were saying it would make sense for Mr Kipling's to do an offical advert (not the one danny did for cityboxer lol) with danny williams or to sponsor him, people would take notice, and that would be very funny.

Danny has one of those personalities where you just can't help but root for the guy. He's the total opposite of Audley Harrison; not arrogant, conceited and is very down to earth. He is also realistic in appraisal of himself, and is also critical of himself too. That, and he isn't afraid to have a joke about his weight and Kipling Cakes either.

Probably the nicest guy in boxing today. Definately one of the 'good' guys.
