I did not read the article but as far as i remember boxing originatd in Babylon and than later was a cult sport in greece and rome. By the way the concept of the ring was created by romans.

It would have been fun to watch ancient fistfighter fight with today's top boxer. Although I doubt any of them will make to Heavyweights. People back than were much smaller. We on the other hand have better attributes due to evolution.Comment
