Evander is one of my favorites fighters, and now at his age he only has his heart, I have to go for the bigger, stronger, younger guy by TKO

W.Klitschko vs. Holyfield

Did I miss something?
I had to make sure the dates of all of these posts were in 2004 and not back in 2000 or so when Vlad was a monster. Obviously, you guys didn't see him fight Williams. He was scared to death. Anytime Williams looked liked he was gonna throw a punch he would run. If not for that cut, he was going to get knocked out yet again. Holyfield is old, true enough, but no way could he last 3 or 4 good rounds with Holyfield. After the 5 or 6th round, it is anyone's game because stamina will plagued them both. I hear everyone yelling "IF" he gets his confidence back. It doesn't seem like it is gonna happen. If he can't make light work of lower tier fighters like Williams who is known for having a glass chin, who else is there to fight to give him some confidence.undefined

Holyfield can go a good 7 rounds, but how many of those rounds are going to be good with the best jab in the heavyweight division in his face? he will get eaten alive at this point against Wlad. Plain and simple

I really don't like saying the two names in the same sentence.
i know. it is horrible. heavyweights should just phase Evander out, for his own good. but most are too greedy to pass on a chance to feed on a washed up legend.

Paddio, The man wasn't scared, he was just fighting at a slower pace, as Emmanuel was instructing him to do. When Williams caught him with that right, and he went down(technically), he came back in that round, and IMO, it should have been even, or 10-9 for Williams, as he did nothing in that round except land that right on a lunging Wlad. I don't see how some of you guys could miss the fact that Williams ran for most of the fight. If it was Toney, and I can't stand that bastard, I would at least give him credit for winning a hard to score fight, if it was one, Wlad's wasn't even close, alot of guys are saying 'I told you so" just because Williams didn't end up in a coma, and I don't think that's fair.

Evander is for certain one of my favorite fighters, and will be from now on, regardless of his ranking. That being said, I hope this fight never happens, as even though Wlad isn't much taller than Bowe, he still fights much bigger than Bowe, and it would be a much different fight than with Bowe, and at this stage of Evander's career, it would spell disaster for the real deal.
