God, I hope Zab is ready for 12......
Think about what you just said.

I could understand you saying, "Cotto is not quick enough to follow Judah and catch him", but cutting the ring off and taking angles to your opponent is a tactic specifically designed to catch up with quicker opponents. Ask Carlos Quintana and Paulie Malignaggi if Cotto isn't quick enough to catch up with you.

It's almost like you all think that ANYTHING Judah hits Cotto with is going to hurt him. It's actually getting ridiculous now.

Judah WON'T be ready for 12. He'll be the same as he always is. If he happens to beat Cotto because that form of him is better than Cotto is then fine...but this whole "Jekyll & Hyde" thing with Judah is an incorrect way to look at him now. I feel like Judah has become old Tyson. People keep hoping for the Tyson of '86 to come back and it ain't happenin...same with Judah. The Judah that walked through Cory Spinks isn't going to show up here, because he'll actually be affected by what cotto's throwing back at him, whereas nothing Spinks hit him with would sway him.

Paulie was able to in the later rounds flurry and move, and this was in an extremely small ring. Zab will not afford Cotto the luxury of taking feathered shots like that. I think that Cotto will have one hell of a storm to weather for at least 5 rounds.

You avoided the point though. Both Quintana AND Malignaggi were able to stick and move...for a very short time. Cotto caught up with both of them and they both have great footwork and move well. Zab is no better on his feet than those guys.

Again, Zab may buzz Cotto and he may knock him out, but I'm willing to bet that Cotto gets to Zab before Zab gets to Cotto.

Malignaggi was sticking and moving near the END of the fight. There was no catching up. He did the flurrying after the knockdown. As for Quintana, I give all credit to Cotto.
But back to Judah/Cotto. Zab is faster than both guys, and more accurate than both. As for footwork, I think he can match Malignaggi when he's not gassed. The point is, Cotto shows a knck for getting picked off while he's stalking opponents. I'm thinking that he'll get more than just a picking from Zab.

It's Judah's fight to lose. Zab Judah is one of the most gifted and talented stars in the sport. He just lacks the mental conditioning and in some cases, physical conditioning to last a full 12 round fight. He is easily frustrated and throws his gameplan, fights dirty, and tanks out mid-fight.

If Judah gets conditioned again to fight 12 rounds, and still maintains his power and speed. He will take Miguel Cotto on a unanimous decision.

Odds are that won't happen though and this will be Judah's last "big" fight. He could very easily show up to fight 6 rounds, win those first 6 with his technical ability, gas out and get tagged and knocked out.

If Cotto Was About To Loose To Chop Chop .. He Better Watch Out For Judah Who Is Faster Bigger And Hits Harder.. Dumb Fight For Cotto... If He Cant Get A Away From A Urkal Right Hand How The Hell Is He Going To Get Away From A Judah Left

Cotto is a more polished, more powerful version of Baldy. If anyone in here thinks that Zab is too quick for COtto to cut off, watch the baldy fight, Baldy is slow and he still cornered Zab, Imagine what COtto can do to him.

As I have stated before, Zab only has a puncher's chance... THat's about it. SOme of you are giving too much credit to Zab, he is very good and very capable of beating Cotto, but the fact that he will is unlikely. Many of you bring up Cotto's chin, and forget that Zab's chin is made of glass.

Another thing I don't understand, this whole, "this is Judah's fight to lose" stance. If Judah's supreme skill was the reason for this, then every fight he has been in would be his to lose. Tszyu, Mayweather, Cotto, Spinks...he arguably has more raw skill than all of those guys. Doesn't mean he's a better fighter (he's not).

Cotto has more riding on this fight and has much more to lose. If anything this is Cotto's fight to lose. Cotto is a very talented fighter who still has a lot of promise out in front of him. He has all of Puerto Rico hanging on his career and he's under the boxing public's microscope in every single fight he's in now. Cotto has the amateur pedigree, the power, the technical skill, and the intangibles to carry him a long way.

I will be surprised if he loses this fight.

This will very likely be Judah's last chance at elite competition, if he loses again. For Cotto, it's a lost to a reputable opponent. Judah has waaaay more to lose.

Actually Malignaggi was holding on for dear life near the END of the fight, however he was somewhat sticking and moving through out the mid rounds.
Zab is about as fast as Paulie but has power, he's also a lot less active than Paulie and is not as good clinching as Paulie is. Zab will be competitive until Cotto times him, same way KT timed him, PBF timed him and so will Cotto.
