I think Zab is a much more dangerous fighter for Cotto than Margarito. In fact if you look at my older post you'll see that I think Zab has the most dangerous combination of style and talent for Cotto.
Zab has great footwork, although Cotto is great at cutting off the ring on boxers, even very slick boxer it will be different cutting off the ring on a slick boxer who has real power and pop. Zab has enough power to floor any WelterWeight if he lands a clean power shot so that is also a serious consideration.
Cotto, however is probably as comfortable with southpaws as any current fighter out there. Cotto is a little quicker now at WW than he was towards the end of his jrWW career. Cotto has heavy handed power which while not a 1 punch KO type of power, it does however remain throughout the fight even the later rounds.
I believe Zab will win the first 3 rounds but that Cotto will time him and get his measure and slowly start to work that body the first 3 rounds. Rounds 4-6 will be close but Cotto will become increasingly in control of the pace and tempo. Round 9 Zab will be KO'd.

cotto had problems with pauli who hits like a 2 yeard old baby with polio
cotto is good when someone stands in front of him. but he doesnt have that
one punch ko power. he has to hit guys a few times before they are
worn out. judah snap and speed will pose many problems for cotto who
gets hit far too often.
all cotto does is try to bulldoze his way in. judah fast uppercuts and
southpaw style will be enough.
judah by tko 7 rounds

Well, the votes are 12 for Zab and 10 for Cotto. I don't want people bitching about how Judah was washed up or had too much ring rust. Seems like it's about split right now.
I'm picking Cotto by TKO5. He'll show Judah what a real body puncher can do and will cut off the ring when Judah decides to run from him. I think Judah will win the first three rounds by dancing around but then he'll get brave and decide to stand and trade. That's when Cotto takes over.

hmm
Balodmir bullied Juddah...KOST exposed a suspect jaw if anyone has forgotten...and mayweather showed the world that Zab is good for about 4-5 rounds then its downhill gets gased easily like Mayweather said and proved.
Cotto against Maggs broke his hand and had trouble making weight.
Torres landed Clean Hard punches verse Cotto and rocked him several times. And came back and Ko'd him. Showing his will and heart.
Both have been exposed a little...but this is BOXING...ALI WAS DROPPED SUGAR RAY ROBINSON...FORMAN...Frazier..ROY JONES...dam i think mayweather lost to castillo. Things can and will happen.
None the less i feel like it Judahs speed will be a challenge early rounds but the drumming body shots will slow him down and then the double left hooks up and downstairs will take there toll. As long as Cotto fights smart i think he can win. Juddah talks alot and i dont think he takes things so seriously. Once he starts getting hurt or losing hes a different fighter period. i havent seen his heart at all and will to win... just alot of grabbing refs and low blows into brawls lol
COTTO BY KO ROUND 9-10

That's like a wall moving towards an open space.
There's nothing Judah can to stop Cotto from coming forward. If he doesn't land a lot of punches on Cotto early and establish his dominance...it's over. Cotto would just walk Judah down throwing Left hooks.
He's way too physically powerful. If Judah made Baldomir look like the moving wall....LMFAO. Let's not even talk about what Cotto would do to him.
