Khan & Woods on same bill (on ITV

Im really looking forward to seeing whether Clinton Woods can get past Glen
Johnson at the 3rd attempt having had a lucky draw and a points loss.

Also Amir Khan fights Ryan Barrett who seems to be a decent stepup in class
and should make for a tougher 9th professional fight for the Lancastrian

I really dont fancy Woods chances but hes definately got the momemtum
going into the fight, tho talk of a knockout by either fighter seems a bit
premature based on thier first two fights which were hard fought wars

    Saturday September 2 - ITV1, 2130-0015 (9:30pm-12.15am)

There is of course another "World Title" fight on the bill as well: M'Baye vs Balbi. Not the juiciest title fight ever, but probably well worth watching.

I'd back Woods to beat Johnson, as Woods is a much stronger fighter than he used to be. Possibilities of a 4th fight if Clinton wins I suppose (after a fight with Calzaghe).

i don't get why Ryan Barrett is seen as a decent step-up in class...look at his boxrec and see who his wins have come against. people like tha mighty Peter "Record-Padder" Buckley and his 201 losses. in fact, he's never beaten an opponent who has won more fights than lost. surely Amir should be fighting opponents ranked in the british top ten by now.

anyway, as for the rest of the card, this should be an entertaining event.

yeah i forgot about that fight. no idea who they are but hopefully it will be good
i dont think woods could beat calzaghe so a 4th johnson fight seems more likely
              if he wins.

the m'baye fight could be interesting.
                i didn't realise Warren actually managed a non-british boxer...

although he probably only signed him up in case hatton moved back down to light-welterweight and started to try unifying titles again.
