The pressure is on for Brook.

He has to look absolutely spectacular and not struggle at all other the "Improvements" and "Stamina" resolvments will be void.

A top level fighter really shouldn't be struggling with Carson Jones in any way.

I agree, but at the same time Carson Jones is a bit underrated on this site imo.

He's knocking people out at light middle weight and coming into the brook fight he had 8 straight KOs or something like that. So obviously he was full of confidence.

But Brook definitely needs to look good.

The guys that Jones was fighting were less than stellar.

I don't think he's underrated to be honest, he's rated just fine. He's a fringe contender.

Brook needs to look better than good, he needs to look great.

I feel like there's a real element of bullshit surrounding this rematch. First is that he should be fighting someone better with more of a name and proven record, but this was deflected with the claim was that it's about showing he's better than he looked that night and blah blah blah.

Last time, Brook gassed after 6 rounds. So this time around they've made the fight 2 rounds shorter. Brilliant.

Then came claims about how for this fight he'll be better because he'll have a nutritionist. Then they made the fight at 152lbs instead of 147lbs. More brilliance.

So they're proving they won't gas late by making it a shorter distance fight, and they're proving how much better Brook is when he makes welterweight the right way by having the fight be 5lbs above welterweight.
