    Channel 5

I don't get it. They said a few months ago they had no intention of showing more boxing, and yet they showed Tyson Fury's last fight, and are showing Degale's fight tonight. I'm not complaining, I'm glad we still have a terrestrial channel showing boxing, I'm just confused. Can anyone shed any light on the situation?

Oh and talking of terrestrial boxing, Channel 4 have a weekly half hour programme called KOTV Boxing Weekly. It's late at night midweek, next one's Wednesday at 1.35am. I've not watched any yet, but I've got a couple on the Sky planner.

The original deal fell through, probably due to ratings vs cost as live boxing isn't cheap to produce so they're having to produce card's with all of their stars and get Tyson on board for some commentary i believe to make it worth it.

I know its not a full time deal at the moment though.

KOTV is decent, but not great. If you're up at that time with nothing else to do, sure, any boxing is still boxing, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.

I've just watched an episode from a week or so ago, it was alright I thought. I think any terrestrial coverage of the sport is to be celebrated, even a half hour ****zine show like KOTV.

I just wish they'd move it from middle of the night to a more accessible time so more people watch it. I only stumbled across it on the TV guide a week ago, so most people probably don't know it exists.

Yea, the deal did fall through but I think they've done well to get it back. It's summer, no football and it's a free-to-air channel, not only that but they did great figures for some of Fury's fights.

Great figures to me, free-to-air or PPV, is 1+mill. Someone did post the figures around here or maybe it was ESB...

KOTV is just late night filler, no one stays up till 1:30 am in the morning to watch it.

Think Chisora/Fury did over 2 mil.

Good news the deal is back in place..

Ugh, the commentary was so flippin awful...

They couldn't even get Kessler's first name correct!!!

Channel 5 annoys me with all the adverts inbetween rounds.

KOTV it's always a week or so late. It's good though since it shows some classic fights and what's going on in Asia. If you're on these forums though it's more of a recap
