Easily the throwdown on Friday Night Fights at the beginning of the year. Just cant remember their names for the life of me but it was the main event and crazy as hell!!!
And the other fight I can't think of for the life of me either, was on the undercard of Vasquez-Marquez 4 if I'm correct. One of their names was torres? I think? Maybe?

I'd still go with Froch vs. Kessler though.Last edited by blaze778; 10-20-2010, 11:16 PM.

you know its disappointing because i want to go get some fights to watch for the weekend off a trader i know and compared to last year its pretty bad for the good fights section. kessler and froch wouldnt even have made top 10 in some previous years. ive been told about ashley ***ton and shinya banyar being good, aslo off the top of my head was cleverleys recent fights. I used to hate froch but having watched his career set i believe the guy is brilliant. Lacks a boxing brain. the guy can definately box when called upon, think pascal and early rpo fights. and he won an amateur world medal which his current pro style wouldnt have earnt him lol

Ivan Calderon vs Giovanni Segura is easily the greatest, most significant fight to have taken place in the sport within this dreadful year.No other fight, especially at a world class level, comes close in duplicating the level of intensity and consistency that this fight brought.
Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler was not a great fight.Froch's workrate was too poor and Kessler's punches weren't accurate enough to have made it a compelling fight.Quite boring to watch, actually.
The Friday Night Fights matchup that was mentioned was between Antonio Escalante and Miguel Roman - which was good, but nothing too breathtaking.

Thanks Blaze! For making up for my lazy ass haha. The other fight was Yonnhy Perez vs Abner Mares, a solid action pack fight that really had me pumped and on my feet. And it was as close as a boxing fight could get. Either man could have won that fight.

Good call on Martinez v Burns, i loved that fight, but i watched Antonio Escalante and Miguel Roman about 2 weeks ago and it was the best fight ive seen in full this year. Loved the bit around rd 8 or 9 when one of them jsut stood in there with his arms folded cos the other guy started to run to protect his lead.
i must watch the full calderon fight soon.
