Prizefighters the HWs this sat night

Matt Skelton and Michael Sprott could meet in the final of Prizefighter Heavyweights IV after line-up alterations ahead of the October 9 fight night at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

The pair have fought twice previously with Skelton coming out on top on both occasions, and now the withdrawal of three fighters has led to a change in the draw, meaning the old foes are on course for a third showdown in the final live on Sky Sports.

Sprott will be hoping to gain revenge for those defeats but faces a tough opening encounter with Danny Hughes, who got off the canvas against Audley Harrison in their semi-final of the third edition of the Prizefighter Heavyweights before losing to the eventual winner by unanimous decision.

“Danny will be a hard fight, he's up and coming and he showed heart after getting dropped by Audley last time,?said Sprott. “If I come through this then who knows what might happen but this is going to be explosive and anything could happen as there's been some real shocks in Prizefighter in the past so I'm fully focused on my bout with Danny.?br />
Skelton will open the nights action against Londoner Ali Adams, with the victor in that fight facing the winner of the second bout of the night between Kevin McBride, the Irishman who was the last fighter to beat Mike Tyson and Franklin Egobi, the Tooting fighter who replaces Michael Holden.

The winner of the Sprott and Hughes clash will face either unbeaten Irishman Declan Timlin ?a 7-0 fighter who replaces Carl Baker (damaged shoulder) ?or Shane McPhilbin, the 24 year-old Nottingham boxer fighting for the fourth time in his career who replaces Chris Burton, who suffered a recurrence of an arm injury during sparring.

    PRIZEFIGHTER HEAVYWEIGHTS IV DRAW

    Matt Skelton v Ali Adams

    Kevin McBride v Franklin Egobi

    Michael Sprott v Danny Hughes

    Declan Timlin v Shane McPhilbin

I got Sprott to get his revenge on Skelton in the final, and McBride to lose in the opening round.

Sprott to win it, 250k, to your 650k. Who's up for it? (or put 250k on any one fighter to win even odds and if neither sprott or your guy wins we keep the points)

My Predictions for the upcoming Prizefighter event on Saturday:

      Quarter Finals:

Matt Skelton TKO over Ali Adams

Kevin McBride UD over Franklin Egobi

Michael Sprott TKO over Danny Hughes

Declan Timlin UD over Shane McPhilbin

I think the fight of this round will be Sprott vs Danny Hughes, both coming of losses to audley, Both will come out swinging.

      Semi Finals

Matt Skelton TKO over Kevin Mcbride

Michael Sprott TKO over Declan Timlin

Possibly the fight of the night is Skelton vs Mcbride, Skelton is desertae to win this tourny and wnats revenge over sprott in the final, mcbride, we now he can punch hard, but he cant take a hard punch.

      FINAL

Michael Sprott UD over Matt Skelton

This is an intruiging fight, both guys want to win this prizefighter, maybe a path for a belt, who knows. Sprott has already beaten Skelton, so revenge will be wanted. I have Sprott winning the fight, due to his experinece and boxing ability

I agree with all of that actually my good man - all except for the final result. I think Skelton gets a KO win over Sprott. Not sure why - I think he is better suited to the format!

saw a bit of ringside last night, Chisora picked Hughes to win it, only time ive sen him was the last prizefighter. Cant see him doing it. Its probably just cos he doesnt like Sprott or Skelton.

Yeah, that was the only fight I was unsure about predicting to be honest. Sprott is kind of figher who can take a few rounds before he starts dinding his timing, whereas skelton can hit hard from frist bell. Will be a great night of boxing.

Having said that, There is always a shcok/suprise in every prizefighter lol.

Did Chisora not pick Ali Adams (think he was being a wide boy though)

now u mention it im not sure, i watched it when i got home from work at half 5 this morning, wasnt very alert to say the least, was trying to stay awake to see what the story with Rogie was. I know he didnt pick Skelton, Sprott or McBride and i remember them taking the piss out of him saying he just being controvertial for the sake of it. I thought he said Hughes but i cant remember exactly wehat he said. You're probably right.

That's right Rogan's making a comeback as well .He's fighting on the Willie Casey Kiko Martinez card in limerick on 6/11 , back from injury .Casey the superbantamweight prizefighter winner .That should be good as well .Rogan Chisora would be good I think if Rogan's got enough left in the tank
