    Penalosa- Chatchai Sasakul

I know that both of these former champs are making comebacks. I would love to see them fight each other. If they fought who would win at 115 pounds? this would be a great elimination match for one of the current 115 titles.I would want to see the Thailander come out on top, but it would be a great competitive match.

Both fighters are good technicians, except for the fact that Penalosa packs the bigger wallop. Both are excellent boxer/counterpuncher and loves to slug it out too.

I reckon Penalosa wins this by TKO within 6 rounds, bigger puncher, bigger man. Chartchai was destroyed by the PacMan, Penalosa retired because of frustration, losing thrice by close decisions against fighters who don't want to fight...Tokuyama and Cho both just jabbed and ran all night.

thanks for the history bro. we have the same prediction on the KO/TKO within 6. Penalosa is back because he has been inspired by the huge success of Manny. he figures he should also be in line to earn the big bucks. Which I believe befits a champ like him

He deserves that, remember that those 2 boxer/runners derailed his proposed megabuck fight with Johnny Tapia, Gerry actually called out Mi Vida Loca after his impressive US debut...after schooling Polo Saucedo.

I hope this fight with Chartchai happens as another tune-up bout to prepare him for a possible war with WBO champ Sor Vorapin, I'm counting out GP's chance of fighting long-time WBC champ Veeraphol Sahaphrom 'coz his handlers are now protecting him (they are going for a bantam record of 20 title defenses, Veeraphol had 14 already...six more patsies ).

If Gerry has done away with what I saw was his tendency (late in his 1st incarnation) to pause after getting in a good one, and if he has taken a page from the book of Manny about being a little bit more agressive--bring the fight to his foe more often instead of sitting back most of the time to counter-- then, I think, he can be awesome.

Sasakul though, should not be much of a problem for Gerry. The Sasakul I've seen in the past knows only one direction in the compass-- towards his opponent! That's the type of fighter Gerry relishes facing. I would't be surprised if Gerry is licking his lips at the prospect of meeting Sasakul soon!

Gerry Peņalosa is not the World Boxing Foundation 115-lb champion. But he wasnts to go up to 118 to challenge Rafael Marquez for the latter's IBF belt. How good would it be for Gerry and Manny fighting in the same card vs. the Marquez brothers?

This will be the best result : Gerry and Manny stopping the Marquez brothers. That would be awesome

That would be awesome indeed Storm. But Rafa's way too big for Gerry I think. Rafa can campaign up to superfeatherweight IMO.
