Boxrec have got it wrong,Jennings is still injured.

British welterweight champion Kell Brook says he is relishing the opportunity to move to world level.

The 23-year-old is set for a world title eliminator at Wembley Arena on February 13.

He had been due to defend his Lonsdale belt against Michael Jennings in London.

But Jennings was ruled out with a hand injury.

Promoter Frank Warren is set to draft in a foreign opponent as Brook attempts to close down a shot at the WBO world crown.

"I was supposed to be fighting Jennings, then Frank told me had pulled out and I had this eliminator instead," said Brook. "I'm so excited and I can't wait for February 13.

"It's always been my dream to be a world champion and I have trained around world champions at Brendan Ingle's gym in Sheffield.

Ah jeez, i hope it's not a huge step up because i don't think Brook is ready for the world stage yet.

Also, i thought Pacquiao was the WBO champ???

Warrren's plan is probably: Brook becomes mandatory. Because of Pacquiao being busy, Brook fights for the interim title in his next fight. Then the Pacquiao-Mayweather winner retires or vacates the belt, so Brook gets upgraded to full champ or at least fights for the vacant title.

I like Brook, but no boxer should ever get a title that way. It's happened before though with others.

It sucks that his fights with Mutley and Jennings didn't come off as they would've been good opponents and helped his development.

I'm tempted to go along as it's a good card. If Brook fights someone good then I might end up getting tickets.

It says on Warrens page it's a WBO title eliminator against an un-named opponent.

I hope it's a good test for him because at the moment he's just going through the same motions in every fight. He needs to fight somone with a good chin who he can't KO in 3 rounds or someone with great stamina who will take him the full 10. Maybe even someone who matches him for speed?

That will be a good fight to watch. And is already scheduled on march 13, 2010.

Please be Alfonzo Gomez. That would be an excellent fight.
