im not a particularly big fan of witter, i dont like his attitude outside the ring and i dont really like his style inside the ring. but imo he is still a very good fighter and i think he should have one more crack at it by moving up in weight. listening to the comments from his trainer it seems as though witter has outgrown the 140 division.
imo he needs a big fight at 147 on the domestic scene to get some wind back in his sails. but with the two biggest british welterweights (jennings and brook) preoccupied with each other witters options look scarce.
step forward matthew hatton - hes looking for a big fight, witter is a credible opponent who is arguably on the decline, matthew he fights at 147 which is where witter should now be campaigning. on the other hand ricky hatton is known to be a proud and stubborn man (see his recent comments about promoting with warren) and may stop the fight from happening because of the insults traded over the years.
this is one of those fights which could either be made in an instant or has virtually no chance. your thoughts? will the fight be made? who do you see winning?
