Ahh this is good for boxing, they can broadcast Tony Dodson and John Thaxton live but cant do Carl Froch vs Jermaine Taylor.

I'll just download the U.S version hours after the fight.

This is the ******est thing I have ever seen. Froch is a mouthy guy but If he beats J.T it will be one of the best british wins this decade, it must be shown!

What is Froch asking for? a lot. What will DiBella want? probably a lot.

Maybe Setanta should swollow their pride and take one for the team. They surely will lose money on this fight but gain a harder cored following.

Hope they show it as a boxing fan. Still not looking good i will do some-more digging today.

I really hope something sorts itself out, it's one of my "personal" big fights of the year.

Anything to avoid a stream if I have to.

          I hate the damn politics

Setanta are still on this fight. If my guy from Froch`s camp doesnt get in touch today i guess Buncey will let us know more tomoz. I think half of Froch`s forum members have e-mailed him on the matter. I heard rumblings that Froch is lowering his demands.

The idea that Froch wants as much money as Calzage got for his bout with B-Hop is ridiculous. He has no way near the appeal or the power to pull the same amount of gate.

Would like to see this fight though. Froch is a fool if he leaves this fight without a tv deal. Give it away for a few thousand even... atleast get your name out there and show people what you can do. So, for his next fight, he can start asking for a little more dough...stir some interest, the Pascal fight was a GOOD start.

Yea, I heard a few people talking about him after that.

Maybe he want's to "cash-in" while he can, maybe he thinks he won't get far.

Needless to say it, if he fight's Taylor not on T.V, and loses, he will be unheard of.

exactly. which is why he should take the 1st reasonable TV deal offered if he is that confident he will win

Carl Froch has branded British TV bosses "a disgrace" for turning their backs on his first world title defence.

Froch, 31, is Britain's ONLY world boxing champion - but BBC, ITV and the satellite channels don't want to know.

He defends the WBC super-middleweight crown against ex-world champ Jermain Taylor, 30, in Connecticut in four weeks' time.

A deal has been struck with US TV giant Showtime to screen the fight live in America, but British fans may not see it.

Froch blasted: "For Britain's only world champion to be in such a big fight and it not to be screened is unheard of.

"It's a disgrace if it doesn't get shown and the people of Britain haven't got a chance to see this.

"It's not like I am up against a bum or an ordinary slugger who nobody is interested in ... "Setanta say they are the home of boxing. Well, they should be getting behind a British boy."

Froch, who claimed his crown in December by beating Jean Pascal, has a massive fight on his hands at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods resort. But he knows he has the power to beat Taylor.
I will suspend my Setanta subscription in protest. If it was Calzaghe fighting Peter Manfredo ITV would be showing it.What a heap of rubbish
