I cant believe this, Froch finaly gets a shot at the world title after being an fairly inactive fighter with a limited fanbase, wins in a good matchup. Now he is worthy of PPV all of a sudden.
He should stick with ITV for a few fights at least, just to build up a fanbase. Trust me, this fight wont sell well in the uk.
Hennessy is dreaming.

Setanta's boxing output is fast turning into a bigger joke than Grandstand was before it was axed. At the current rate of attrition it won't be long before the only boxing on there will be Steve Bunce's Boxing Hour. Talk about a shambles.
At least they've still got the Aussie NRL. Not much else to watch on it, really.

What really makes me cringe is the way Bunce and the rest of his boxing hour colleagues go to great pains each week explaining how close they are to wrapping up major deals to broadcast fights X, Y & Z soon only for them all to appear on SKY.
You'd think they'd stop this practice for embarassment's sake.

According to a friend who is mod on his boxing site Hennessy has made a monumental blunder and they are not sure if anyone will be picking up the UK rights as ITV are digging their heels and want compensation from anyone looking to show the fight. ITV claim a verbal agreement was made to show Froch first two defences and although not binding a legal battle would mean by the time the rights were sorted the fight date would have past.
ITV also say it is not their policy to aquire big time boxing unless it is within 1hr of UK prime time.
Due to it being in America it wont be prime time and unless Setanta or Sky compensate ITV (which i doubt as Froch is not a big name and will draw pitiful figures) the likely outcome is a delay on ITV shown Sunday afternoon.
At the moment.
