Hatton-Witter "Will They Ever Fight?"

As an Englishman I am very proud of the fact that Ricky Hatton has been a World Champion for many, many years (in two different weight divisions as well) and that he made Kostya Tszyu look like an amateur.

I also love him because he does an unbelievably huge amount for charity, unlike some famous people.

However, I am backing Malignaggi to destroy Hatton. Hatton is old now and will never have the longevity of someone like old Calzaghe because he drinks too much beer and eats too many pies. Hatton has not won with ease for a couple of years now.

If Ricky loses to Paulie, then the Witter bout becomes a good possibilty IMO. Even a lot of Hatton fans want him to fight Witter now for 2 main reasons:

1. Everyone knows Witter is the No.1 British contender at JWW.
2. They want Hatton to actually prove he's better than Witter instead of making those excuses.

The only problem is that if Hatton does lose to Paulie then he also loses the titles Witter wants but I don't think that should have too much effect on the fight being made A Hatton loss against Paulie could pave the way for a Witter fight. If Hatton beats Paulie, then the chances for a Witter fight are slim because he'll have De La Hoya, Pacman, Marquez, Judah among other name-fighters to choose from.

Dude, i don't know what ya laughin at Junior Witter at one point was in the same league as Hatton he was number 1 Light Welterweight, had wins over former world champions Lovemore N'dou who just took Mallinaggi to a split Witter dropped him 3 times and beat him on UD,Andriy Kotelnik on UD who is now WBA champion and ranked 4th in the world now,DeMarcus Corley a former world champion who buckled Cotto and took Zab Judah to a split decision Junior beat him clearly on UD,Vivian Harris a former world champion who had beat the likes of Juan Lazcano the fight beofore Hatton, had a tko win over Steve Johnson, had beat former world champion Souleymane M'baye on UD,and Harris had also went to germany x2 to defeat Oktay Urkal, and Harris had also tko'd Diosbelys Hurtado in 2 Junior knocks him out in 7. And before the Bradley loss Witter's only loss was against a prime Judah at sort notice. So yes Junior Witter was very much in the same league as Hatton at one point and to be onest Hatton didn't want to know. I really think the bereavement in his family, and his divorce with half his money being snatched away affected his performance when he lost his title. If Witter gets it back quick enough, he can force this fight to happen. his next fight is essentially a WBC eliminator and I think he is fighting for the EBU belt. If he is best in Uk and Europe, that is enough for Fattyu to fight him. Naz gave Manuel Calvo his big chance!
