This Mexico-Phillipines rivalry is bull****, when is it going to stop? Now they name this function "Payback", payback for what? For Boom Boom getting his ass kicked by Ponce De Leon? If it was Payback why not match them up again? Instead they put two Mexicans against two of the top Filipino prospects fighting in Manila so they can get a sense of revenge. I just don't get how people can be so ****** and fall for this. This stinks of the Mexico vs. Phillipines world cup in which the Filipinos won a bunch of mismatches and earned the "world cup". I am a Mexican and I'm sick of seeing Mexicans matched up against Filipinos just because. I mean the whole Pacquiao thing is different because he's trying to become the champion but look at all these other bums getting publicity riding on Pac's gravy train. Enough I say!

Well I hope you are not referring to the Gorres-Ortiz and Penalosa-Gonzales matches. Those Filipinos "bums" are the underdog and they won.

              chups,

how is it good for boxing? it's bull****. like i've said before, if you want a real rivalry you've got to pit mexico's best vs. philippines best. and it's no comparison. to call it "payback" is really hilarious. if you wanted to see bautista and banal fight against mexican prospects why not pit abner mares vs. banal and bautista against hard punching carlos yanez 14-0 11 KO's. i'll tell you why because bautista has NO chin and yanez would spank that ass quick. banal? lol...he's nothing but a bautista clone. nothing special about him except he gets fed these bums. put him in against abner mares then tell me how good he is. you know the problem with philppines boxing is they want to be compared to mexico. WRONG ANSWER! philippines is about 50 years behind mexico as far as boxing knowledge, techniques, experience, champions, successful defenses etc...but hey, dreaming don't cost nothing! lol...

                papa ace,

gorres was an underdog to ortiz? you've got to be kidding me! ortiz is an old ex-jr. flyweight champion going up against a natural super flyweight in his prime. only gonzalez was the favorite and he was unlucky even to lose that one.
