    Qs on boxing glove size

I was trying to get together a present for my dad. I needed to know what size gloves Wilfredo Benitez would've worn at 147 in the 1970s.

likely 6 oz pro gloves at that weight in the 70's.

Alright, very much appreciated reply. Now I'm searching for 6-8 oz gloves. Any ideas on where I can find those??

I'm not sure but it might be hard to find those because people don't really use that size to the best of my knowledge...You have very small, light gloves for the bag and then you go up to 10oz....

        an example of 10oz gloves...

your best bet maybe to find somebody that specializes in vintage boxing gloves/apparel..

8 oz gloves are still readily available from Everlast, Cleto Reyes, Ringside etc. 6 oz professional gloves aren't really used anymore but you maybe able to find some from antique boxing auctions/websites. Failing that you might be able to contact a manufacturer who will make gloves to you're specification and possibly an exact replica of the ones you're looking for.
