Shavers hit Randy Tex Cobb with a right in the neck so hard it broke his left ankle.

Larry Holmes thought he was struck by lighting when Shavers hit him, probably would have been better off.
i have never heard such bull****. if shavers hit as hard as hard as everyone thinks he did then how come he never killed anyone in the ring and shavers hit cobb so hard that it broke his ankle . How could a punch in his neck break hgis ankle unless he fell on his ankle which wouldnt be a direct of the punch anyway. Shavers power has reached mythological prorportions . There are stories going around that he caused ali brain damage after their first fight and that he hospitalised sparring partners but i never see any documented evidence to back this up and shavers never knocked anyone out with a good chin . He only ever knocked out bums .

What a warrior, its like taking the chin, stamina, and boxing skills of Evander Holyfield and tramsforming it into Punching Power, keeping the massive heart!

So my question is, would you consider Earnie Shavers, the hardest hitter in recorded history, a all-time great? I would.
I wouldn't say he was an all-time great. I would put him in the top 100 of heavies.

Out of curiosity and nothing else...

Do you have a top 100 list available, Butterfly?
