Diego Corrales - Who most would consider the best lightweight fighter out there. Is a three time champion, and the current WBC champ at 135. He can really **** with either hand, and is always willing to go toe-to-toe. While his chin is questionable, his heart is not, as he showed in his first encounter with Castillo. One of the most exciting fighters of the modern era.

Roberto Duran - Widely regarded as the best lightweight ever, Duran was a five time world champion. He was nicknames 'hands of stone' for a reason, as he terrorized the lightweight division for the better part of seven years. Duran could do it all, box, brawl, fight inside, you name it.

The fight: This fight, would be a slugfest. Duran was a master boxer, but he would brawl here, and he would dominate. Corrales' power would give him a few big moments, perhaps rocking Duran once or twice, but Duran's amazing skills and relentless assaults, would give a stoppage in the 6th round.


Floyd Mayweather Jr: Floyd is regarded as the P4P #1 fighter today. He dazzles with his amazing speed, reflexes and seemingly flawless fighting style. While still relatively unaccomplished compared to the great welterweights of the past, he would give many a run for their money.

Kid Gavilan: A very, very tough fighter, who was renowned for his "bolo punch", his right uppercut. He had amazing stamina, and was a very aggressive fighter. Despite this, he wasn't a knockout artist, clocking up a knockout % of only 26%. A very accomplished and proven welterweight.

The fight: Over 12 rounds, I see Mayweather's superior speed getting the better of Gavilan. He would never have Gavilan in trouble, but would cruise to a close 12 round decision.
